7 We have used Thush tours twice now when we visited Sri Lanka in 2018 and 2023. Thush is very knowledgeable and polite guide. He helped us to safely tour Sygiria, Kandy, Ella, Mirissa, Bentota and Columbo. Taking us to many temples, tourist sites and safaris.
On our most recent visit he also provided us with airport transport. A great guide - we tell anyone going to Sri Lanka to use Thush tours!
6 day round trip around southern Sri Lanka
Thushara organised a wonderful and exciting round trip for our group of 4 people. The trip started in Bentota and included visits to the following places.
Day 1:
Dambulla cave temple and the Sigiriya rock fortress (both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites).
Day 2:
Kandy and the Temple of the Tooth.
Day 3 and 4:
2 night stop in Nuwara Eliya with a pleasant hike to World's End, located within the Horton Plains National Park.
Day 5:
Beautiful train ride through the mountains to Ella with the famous Nine Arches Bridge.
Day 6:
Udawalawe National Park with its herds of Elephants.
With his knowledge and experience, Thushara guided us safe and with interesting explanations to these fascinating places. An excellent way to explore Sri Lanka!
Fantastic Licensed Tour Guide- Highly Recommended- Great Experience-Fairly Priced-Honest & Trustworthy
We did a tour from Ahungalla (Near Bentota) to Udawale National Park. I contacted 3 other other guides and Thush was the fastest to get back to me and his prices were fair and English was good in the emails.
So we agreed for him to take us to the Udawale National Park to see the Elephant Sanctuary and do the safari.
It was a great experience for my wife and I and my 2 kids. Both kids don't travel well for long journeys and Thush was a good safe driver and very sympathetic an patient with their travel sickness.
His English was good and he was very focussed on ensuring we got the best from our experience and that we enjoyed the day, which we thoroughly did. He had a decent car and arranged for an open air Jeep for the safari experience, which was all included in the package.
He made sure no-one took advantage of us there with 'Tourist Prices' and I liked his honesty.
There are not many licensed tour guides in the area, but Thush is one of them and I highly recommend him as the tour guide of your choice.
We would have used him for more tours, but there was not enough time on this trip. Will definitely use him on our next trip.
