Traditional Sri Lankan Cooking reviews
12Don‘t hesitate, it’s the best local food you could possibly get in Unawatuna! And the prices were finally back at Sri Lankan level - it’s a shame we found this place not before our last evening
Exceptionally good home made food. One of the few places in the area asking the right price (really cheap compared to other restaurants nearby). You have to wait a bit for your food because everything is freshly cooked and prepared. But it's absolutely worth it! Highly recommended:) Enjoy!
Ps.portions are also very generous
Local Sri Lankan food with limited options. But the food they served was the best I've had in Sri Lanka.
Best Sri Lankan food in Unawatuna! It's like being family guest not another customer. Try once and you get back over and over again!

This place is amazing. They do 3 rice and curry dishes and do them really well, really cheap (380lkr for the cheapest one which we got). We went there most nights and we stayed for 2 weeks. Absolutely delicious and could eat it every day.
Delicious food, takes awhile to cook as they serve specific sets. Very good price being near the beach. Friendly, family owned restaurant.
So happy we found this little spot in Unawatuna. If you want authentic Sri Lankan cuisine at a good price this is the spot. The guy who owns it is super friendly and not pushy. The curry is delicious with lots of flavour. We also had breakfast here which was good too.
About as authentic as it gets, absolutely delicious and super fresh place for no money. The man who runs it is incredibly friendly as well, highly recommended!
Such good food, amazing Sri Lankan cooking! A hidden gem amongst so many generic tourist places, highly recommend! Believe it goes under another name also, Sri Dhara.
Fully agree with Frances Deamer-Phillips review. After my first visit here I hardly can to wait till next evening to come here again. Amazing and cheap food, without any service fee. But be patient to wait a little bit while is preapeared. Respect to owner.
