Villa 234

Awful villa experience with friends rundown rooms, constant issues with utilities, and uncooperative management. Ruined our getaway with subpar conditions and a frustrating lack of support.

The property is not recommended
Recently visited the property for few days, staff being rude with the customers. The rooms are not up-to mark because the next room sounds can be heard and it also causes disturbance. The place is not managed properly. The in charge at villa is an old person whose communication is not proper and also no proper management which caused so much dissatisfaction for our stay. The location is also far from town. Staff comes up with complaints regarding sound of furniture whereas, the furnitures are old and tight. It is not recommended to stay in the villa.

Convenient location. Rooms are comfortable. The host is very friendly. Breakfast can be taken but need to be informed prior. For other meals you need to go out and find them. Pool facility available.very reasonable price. Free wifi there.

I had the pleasure of staying at Villa 234, which boasted a refreshing pool and comfortable beds. I must say, it was an exceptional experience!

The villa was absolutely stunning, with its contemporary design and lavish amenities. The pool was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay, and I spent most of my time lounging in the water or soaking up the sun on the comfortable poolside chairs.

But the comfort didn't end there - the beds were incredibly cozy as well. After a long day of swimming and exploring the area around Villa 234, I was able to get a restful night's sleep in the soft, plush beds.

Overall, I would highly recommend Villa 234 to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing vacation. With its beautiful pool and comfortable beds, it offers the perfect combination of indulgence and comfort.

Lovely villa with all facilities stayed a weekend very relaxing place nice and clean swimming pool and very good caretaker also prepared a superb breakfast cannot imagine and owner is a very humble doctor

Nice place to stay.
But only one caretaker. His cooking is awesome.
Swim pool is front.
Quite, calm place to spend a night.
But no restaurant.
Only breakfast provided.
We have to walk to another restaurant nearby to have dinner / lunch.

This place is excellent for the price. They do have a pool area which is open till 9 pm. Care takers are very friendly and rooms are in excellent condition for the price. Vehicles can be parked out side. Breakfast is included for the package and for the package price breakfast is excellent. Nice and calm place.

Had a lovely stay here, property is very well taken care of by such amazing people! Definitely staying here on my next visit.

Lovely place but sandwiched in between a busy road 24/7 and a railway line. The proprietor and his staff are utterly wonderful and nothing is a problem. The rooms are large but basic, so if your wife or girlfriend are looking for some bathroom luxuries I'm afraid it's not the place for you. Everything is very clean and well maintained and the pool after a long day is beautiful.

Friendly staff and big room for affordable price.
Located next to the beach and railway it’s a 10/15 minute ride to Galle but the accommodation is very nice. They have a restaurant with good food (but your beers in the shop and put them in the fridge).
Beds sleep comfortably and showers are hot (plus good WiFi, what else do you need).
And then the managing couple, so kind and friendly. When we wanted to see Galle before we took the train to Columbo, their son brought us in his tuktuk and stayed with our luggage for some time so we could walk freely. So kind:)

One of the best stay in Galle city with swimming pool and all luxury services. Their house keepers- one old lady and an old man, they just go out of the way to make you happy. Breakfast is must try. Hot water. Comfortable beds, big rooms. The owner is a doctor and he us a nice man.

Worth for the price. Huge 2 beds were there.a spacius room and bathroom.prety clean pool was there.but 7km from galle town. No view or anything

Really good place. Loved it. At first we were warmly welcome with a welcome drink which i never expected. The owner and two working people always wear a smile on there face and really friendly. We were guided to our room and also the way to the private beach also was shown. Room was really nice and clean. Had a tv with dialog tv connection with 100+ channels. Bathroom was very nice and cleaned well. 24 hour hot water supply is there. Only issue was the toilet seat was detached but was not a big issue. Free wifi was available 24 hours and speed was also good. But after midnight and till next day morning it was slow due to some reason. Balcony was there as promised but there was no great view from there. But from january onwards that will be no more because they are opening the swimming pool from then and it will be right down the balcony. Private beach area is private as it said other than very few people who come through the beach, who live nearby. Sea was quite rough but could enjoy it. But not a very great place to bathe for a non swimmer. They arrange a three wheeler when requested to go to galle town. But have to mention that he takes rs. 100/- more than other three wheel drivers, which is usually rs. 300/-. Only 10-15 minutes away from galle fort. Quite place. Not much crowded. Good place to rest. The owner is fluent in russian language (as i saw). Breakfast is given and it is really delicious. I got macaroni with sausages and eggs with vegetable pattis. The prices are really reasonable. Better to directly call over the phone and book the rooms because it is more sure and you will get a lower price than what is mentioned in booking sites. Forgot to mention, there were very few cobwebs in the room. Other than that other things were really clean. I would highly recommend this place for anyone

We have been there on march 2017. It was a great reat accommodation with delicious breakfast. We could not swim in the sea across the street but you have very near a bus station to ride to galle (10 minutes) or other beautiful beaches in the area.

Wir wurden sehr nett von der Familie empfangen. Man kann von dort aus, mit einem Tuk-Tuk für 3 € oder dem Bus für 0,25 € in ca. 15 Minuten Galle erreichen. Nach Hikkaduwa kommt man in ca. 20 Minuten für 3,50 € (bzw. 0,30 €). Man wohnt in einem seperatem Haus. Das Gästehaus hat sehr große Zimmer, was eher selten in Sri Lanka ist. Wir hatten ein bequemes großes Bett, eine kleine Sitzecke, ein großes Bad und einen Balkon. Ein Mos­ki­to­netz ist dort nicht notwendig. Die Zimmer sind oben. Im unteren Bereich ist auch alles sehr geräumig, mit einer gemütlichen Sitzecke. Rund um die Uhr ist ein sehr liebenswürdiger und hilfsbereiter Mann im Haus, der uns immer ein sehr reichhaltiges und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück gemacht hat. Auch sonst versucht er immer zu helfen. Der Gastgeber kommt täglich vorbei, schaut ob alle zufrieden sind und gibt gerne Tips für Touren u. ä. Auf Wunsch organisiert er sie auch. Er hilt einem in allen Belangen weiter. Zur Zeit wird zusätzlich noch ein Pool angelegt. Es war das beste Gästehaus, was wir in unserem dreiwöchigen Aufenthalt in Sri Lanka hatten.

We were received very nice by the family. You can reach from there with a tuk-tuk for 3 € or the bus for 0.25 € in about 15 minutes bile. After Hikkaduwa in about 20 minutes for € 3.50 (or € 0.30). You live in a separate house. The guesthouse has very large rooms, which is rare in Sri Lanka. We had a comfortable big bed, a small sitting area, a large bathroom and a balcony. A mosquito net is not necessary there. The rooms are upstairs. In the lower area everything is very spacious, with a cozy sitting area. Around the clock is a very gracious and helpful man in the house, who has always made us a very rich and varied breakfast. Otherwise he always tries to help. The host comes by every day, looks if everyone is satisfied and is happy to give tips for tours u. On request, he also organizes them. He continues to help you in all matters. At the moment an additional pool is being created. It was the best guest house we had in our three week stay in Sri Lanka. "
