Villa SPACE

We went for our honeymoon and we really enjoyed the Space experience.
Thank you Julia for taking care of us and Sandun was very helpful.

Overall, we would give our 4-day stay at Villa Space hotel a 3-star rating. On the positive side, the hotel boasts a beautiful jungle vibe setting with good rooms, a great big and clean pool, and cool interior. Additionally, the staff and owners were nice and accommodating. The location is also convenient as it is only a 5-minute walk to the beach.

However, there were a few downsides to our stay. The rooms were very dark, and the shutters couldn't be opened. Also, housekeeping didn't come one of the days without any explanation, leaving us without clean towels and water. It was also very inconvenient that we had to pre-order all meals, even the $18 breakfast, which made it difficult to make spontaneous decisions. Many drinks on the menu weren't in stock, and the bass music/party noise from Unawatuna beach made it impossible to sleep one of the nights (this is though out of Villa Space’s control)

Furthermore, we were disappointed that there was a lot of emphasis on Yoga classes on Social Media, but nothing was offered at the hotel. We expected to participate in some yoga classes as part of our stay, but we were disappointed that there were no such offerings.

Overall Villa Space felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel, and no extra amenities were offered to ensure a good customer experience. Finally, the price/value ratio wasn't good, as we had stayed at many cheaper hotels in Sri Lanka, which offered a much more luxurious experience.

This place is a dream. Nestled in the trees, with the finest architectural details. The multi-leveled hotel provides multiple vantage points towards the most stunning views. The rooms are stunning, with statues and textures that give you a surreal feeling. Really enjoyed this place. Would love to come back again and again!

Beautiful place! A nice host is there to greet you upon arrival and makes sure your stay is pleasant. The food there is delicious and a great chef there to make meals. Cool common space, the decor is outstanding! Each piece is impressive. Outdoor shower garden was dreamy, they put Buddha and fresh flowers in the room with option to use incense and candles. Semi view of beach, nice pool. The only down side is that it’s up a steep hill where most Tuktuks could not go up. So they would drop us to the closest point and we will walk up the hill for 2min. Cars were able to go up.

During my Sri lanka trip Villa Space became the most calm and beautiful place for us. Really like food by menu. Beautiful ocean view, nice terrace, rooms and outdoor shower really stunning.

This place is extraordinary! The villa is on the hill, it really has so much space. Ocean view is breathtaking! The rooms are very cosy, there are many cute details and artifacts. It's perfect for photo sessions. There is upper floor with a view where you have wonderful breakfast every morning with view which inspires. The place is child free, so it's very quiet. It's exceptional villa in Unawatuna. You definitely should try and enjoy!

Hidden gem just few steps from Unawatuna beach. We spent more then 2weeks on the villa enjoying every moment. Nice atmosphere, beautiful view, friendly staff, delicious food! Will definitely come back.

This place is truly magical. The only bad thing about this villa space is that you have to leave. There were so many things to be blown away by, the food was so good. Easily the nicest place I stayed at in Sri Lanka. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
