VillaWatuna

This is our second time staying at this hotel. All good. Maybe just the price is a little higher. We took a superior room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The view is great. Full of birds and monkeys. The monkeys are calm. Not aggressive. They jump onto the balcony. The banana may be stolen. They didn't take things. The bed was changed every 2 days. Every morning 2 liters of bottled water, tea bags, coffee and sugar. We were ready to clean at least every day. The breakfasts are excellent. Fruit salad, tea or coffee, choice of boiled eggs, fried eggs or omelettes, pancakes.

I liked everything: the rooms are clean (cleaned every day), there are towels! But there are no towels for the beach, take them with you or perhaps for an additional fee (check with the owner if this is possible) ; Our room also had a refrigerator! There was shampoo and soap in the room. Every day the bar was replenished with water and tea.

Breakfast is good (choice of boiled eggs/fried eggs/omelet/pancake, tea/coffee, fruit plate, three toasts with butter and jam.

The beach is very close (three minutes). There are shops and cafes/restaurants nearby on both sides of the hotel.

The view is stunning - monkeys, elephants, peacocks, chipmunks. There was always hot water in the shower. Wi-Fi is average, but YouTube and TV series can be downloaded quietly. I don’t think it’s suitable for work, it’s better to buy a SIM card with the Internet.
At night it is quiet, unlike hotels located right by the ocean.

From February 21 to March 2,2020, we rested on the Paradise island of Sri- Lanka in the province of Unawatuna in the wonderful hotel Villa Watuna. The owners of the hotel and its staff are very hospitable and friendly people. The hotel is located in a convenient location, close to the beach, has its own small, but beautiful and well-groomed territory. The rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable. We have previously vacationed at many resorts, but have never met such a responsive, attentive and Executive hotel staff. They did a great job, quickly and efficiently. The hotel has a great cook, so after visiting two other restau+rants, we decided to eat in our hotel's restaurant. The food was very tasty, and the portions are large, and the prices are not higher than in oyher restaurants. There were always clean beach towels and a library in different languages. We left early in the morning, but the owners provided us with Breakfast and water for the trip, and the hotel Manager helped us carry our Luggage out of the room. We Express our gratitude to the hotel owners and all the staff for a great stay.

Good location, close from the beach and sentral area of unawatuna beach, nice and helpfull from the staff, but the bathroom are smelly, i don't know why?

Villawatuna is a place near to Unawatuna beach and have a pleasant environment. Staff are very friendly person.

Nice place to stay. (3rd storey between 2 other rooms) with palm shadow. Friendly staff and manager Nuwan. You can buy/order fresh seafood from local market and they can cook it for you (extra pay). Approximately one hundred meters to beach and 50 to small food shops.

Niyan was the man! Thank you so much for our stay. Staff were so kind and helpful and always made sure we had the best prices for tuk tuk and anything we needed. When we come back we will stay with VillaWatuna again 100%. Great clean room. Short distance from beach. Thank you!

The staff is superb. They do their best to help you. The location is also so good. The rooms have a appreciable veranda, but there isn't minibar, so you cannot buy beverages for keeping.
