Whispering Palms Hotel

Great location on the beach, but the operator doesn't seem interested in maintaining the facility or keeping it clean. Almost everything has a patina or is simply broken and neglected.

Worst hotel I ever stayed.
So many to say so lets start with
Unclean toilets, soap scum everywhere and toothpaste stains on the sink and glasses.
Doors not closing properly, old stinking curtains! The whole room smells!
Airconditoner not cooling and the manager doesnt even want to accept it.
No professional staff. Just some young guys wearing shorts and slippers with body odour waiting for to check us in.
The same guys also making the food in the restaurant
Owners need to wake up! Dont ruin the sri lankan tourism brand for everyone else.
Avoid room number 7 and if you can avoid this entire hotel. You can find better views elsewhere.

Do not step in.very poor customer care rooms are poor and food are not good, i dont suggest this pplace to anyone

The location is calm and quiet and
Beautiful.but the service and the foods are not good. Not satisfied with the staff and their hospitality.

Nice hotel with excellent sea view and delicious food. The chef is great even though there are limited choices. Rooms can be better maintained but I can understand it was not used during covid so I would have loved to rate it at 4.5 but since there is no option so giving 4

Time, and money wasting place with Cheap foods and high rate. Nice location with beach view but not worth to charges. Dont waste your time and money.

We reserved our stay here looking at the beach side view of the hotel. Overall our stay at the hotel was comfortable but the food quality as well as the price they charged to us was almost of 4star hotel.

Your path to the beach was amazing, the pool the had is enjoyable. At night its just a single old security guard who doesn’t even know English which ends our overall communication for case of emergency.

If you are getting a good deal staying here take it.there are few good food points nearby which you can relay on while your stay here

Very poor customer service! After reserving rooms over the phone and confirmed, lady in the reception has given the rooms to some other families without asking! Very poor customer service hotel.never recommending for anyone!

Environment is really awesome with beach front.
You can enjoy bathing in beach and pool.
Environment kept clean and maintained.
Can go for a morning walk in Long Beach.
That’s a good experience.

Rooms are good with adequate space and comfort.
Food is good and tasty. But the amount they provide for breakfast is not sufficient.

Don't step in. Only the location and room is good. Empty hotel. We were the only people. Limited breakfast options. Lousy staffs

The location is awesome with a beautiful view to the beach, however the breakfast was poor with an awful coffee they had a limited choices of food, employees were nice and helpful.

WORST EXPERIENCE, NIGHTMARE!
MMT booked this Hotel merely by checking the reviews online & did not check if this Hotel was in a condition to operate. We checked in at around 8 pm due to the long drive from Nuwara Eliya to Bentota. Upon arrival we were shocked to see that the hotel looked abandoned with no staff around, just an old security guard who gave us the room keys. We were allocated a room on the ground floor (being a couple). The hotel was under renovation with all debris & dirt fallen outside our room balcony. The entire hotel was empty with only 1 couple. The Ac wasn’t working, no phone, no kettle, no room service, no breakfast provided, washroom windows kept open & jammed, drinking water was dirty. There were coconuts fallen in the swimming pool with dirt & the entire hotel was poorly lit. The toilets were filthy. We immediately contacted our booking agent who tried to check for other hotels around. It seemed way too risky for us to stay that night & we literally feared for our safety being in an unknown place that night. Again, our relationship officer seemed least bothered about our safety. Luckily, our guide was our only hope & kept checking on us over the phone. Due to this unhygienic & pathetic Hotel booked by MMT, my wife started feeling unwell & we had to change the property at the break of dawn.

Place is good but No ambience No staffs. It's too bland for that place. Swimming pool was dirty. Place is still under construction

Nice location. It is located right on the beach. Stayed here for three days. The rooms are good. Swimming in the pool right in front of the beach was an experience in itself.

The breakfast needs a lot of variety addition. Could hardly find any vegetarian dish there. The menu too has very limited vegetarian options.

The rooms tarrifs are little overpriced as the place is little far from the city.

Super friendly staff. The food is absolutely delicious. The location is beautiful. It is quiet and not touristic at all.

Very nice for beach lovers. Beach is very closer to the hotel.swimming pool is next to the beach.staffs are good.very clean environment.break fast was according to your choice. (only two options). Enjoyed the holiday stay with family.again wants to go.

Great location, good spacious rooms, very basic amenities in rooms, average quality food at restaurant, good swimming pool and good beach. Nothing nearby, far from Bentota town.
