Villa Ananthaya reviews
7 We had a very nice stay here. Everything was very clean and we even got two rooms as we are 4 people and just booked one. The owner is very friendly and courteous. As our flight was overbooked and only two of us could get on the flight we could go back to the accommodation and he prepared the room we had before for us. Furthermore he helped us with communicating with the tuktuk driver as the driver couldn’t speak English. We highly recommend Villa Ananthaya. There is also a well equipped kitchen you can use and the pool is nice for a little refreshment. All in all 5*.
Greetings from Germany and Austria!
Lovely villa, super friendly host. Rooms are above standard, ac, no mosquitos. The pool is well maintained & common area nice. The location is okay, getting around either by tuktuk or scooter, which they also rent. Host speaks english very well, super lovely person & trustworthy. Unfortunately the chef was on holidays when I stayed there.
Quiet place near to the city with everything you need:) A kitchen to use, fan and AC, a little bar with cold beer, places to sit outside or inside, very very good food and nice service:) It is possible to rent tuktuks and bikes for a very good price and the host helps you with license and driving in the beginning.
Very pleasant place, very clean and attentive staff.
The swimming pool was a delight for the children after a long trip!
UPDATE: We had a very good meal there (fish from the market prepared by the manager).
The best hotel visited since our arrival in Sri Lanka.
Second visit to this very well-kept villa. It's not luxury but simplicity done well. The chef offered to cook us fish for dinner and it was great. The price of the villa is very low, so the value for money is the best of our 21 days in Sri Lanka. Simply exemplary establishment!
Nice big pool and a spacious walkway driveway.
Room amenities were not as advertised.
Toilet had a single tiny soap bar and two towels on the bed.
Wardrobe was quite smelly.
Fridge wasn't working great either.
Room was clean though and host was responsive.
Overall, feel the price is high for the amenities (or lack of it).
