Green Hill Cottage

Really huge reccomendation for this place.it's paradise. Near are two nice beaches and garden is like a jungle with swimming pool and many green place, trees, animals and nice sound from the nature. We really enjoy this place, the owner is very kind and helpfull.

It is hard to describe this special place in words. Mahendra and Sarad are incredible hosts, his wife the best cook and the site is green, natural, beautiful and right in the middle between the most stunning beaches! It is the only place in Sri Lanka I was really sad to leave. The cottage we stayed in was clean, comfy, big enough for four. With an area outside to sit and enjoy the view. We saw monkeys, peacocks, chipmunks, squirrels, a Leguan, and turtles. If you want to visit Tangalle, it is probably the best place to stay at!

Nous étions dans une chambre spacieuse au dernier étage de l'établissement, avec une vue imprenable sur la jungle et au loin, l’océan indien. Un vrai bonheur de se réveiller le matin au son des oiseaux. Point d’observation idéal pour les autres petits voisins de la jungle: singes, écureuils, toucans, paons…
Ils proposent aussi des bungalows indépendants qui conviennent parfaitement à des familles.
Piscine rafraîchissante et petit-déjeuner gargantuesque!
Très proche à pieds des plages à proximité (Goyambokka et Silent Beach).
Mille mercis à Mahendra et son équipe, des hôtes très gentils et aux petits soins, qui nous ont fait passer un excellent séjour!

[EN ] The perfect place to make your childhood dream come true by spending the night in a tree house!
We were in a spacious room on the top floor of the property, with stunning views of the jungle and the Indian Ocean. A real pleasure to wake up in the morning with the sound of birds. Ideal panorama point for other little neighbours: monkeys, squirrels, toucans, peacocks, etc.
They also offer independent bungalows that are perfect for families.
Refreshing pool and gargantuan breakfast!
Very close to the nearby beaches (Goyambokka and Silent Beach).

Excellent service, amazing food, amazing value! The staff where more than willing to accommodate every need. The location between the friendly animals and beautiful landscape was more than inviting. Only 5 minute walk to silent beach which is now deemed to be my best beach. Cozy cottage with great value. Loved this place!

Super accommodating and lovely owner and staff! Best beach/home stay experience near tangalle in a great area close to the best beaches. Food is also amazing too! Cottage itself exceeded expectations and for a very reasonable price. Thanks green hill!

We stayed here for two nights and it was really good experience. Rooms are very well planned. Not just empty space and power sockets in a place that none will use them like in other accommodations but in most comfortable positions. There is a table with chairs just in front of beautiful view on the the forest and ocean. There is a space between the roof and wall that ventilate the room. Really good idea for humidity. Windows also opens to the top giving the beautiful view.
The owner speak English very well and is helpful.
Breakfasts are delicious. You got variety of srilankans dishes prepared especially for you whenever it suits you.
The only disadvantage is water pressure. This should be better for this really nice place.
When we come back here we will definitely pick this place once again
