Shehani Beach Bungalow

Perfect place for quiet and relaxing days. The property is on the beach (literally). It's a bit further down the main road so very few people pass here daily. It's pure tropical vibes and nature sounds. The food is great and the staff is very welcoming and always ready to help and be of service. Philipe is a dear friend with the kindest of hearts. Totally recommended this place, and hope to be back soon.

Small and beautiful place. Only about 6 rooms/bungalows. Right on the beautiful beach. The food is excellent. Both breakfast and dinner were freshly prepared to perfection. Very friendly people here! We enjoy it, it's like paradise! Thanks again!

We came here again for five nights. The rooms were again very clean, the staff was very friendly. This place is paradise for us!

I stayed here for long term and it felt like a home for me:) The rooms are beautiful. Friendly staff and good service at all time. I would always come back! Thank you for the nice stay at Shehani.

The value for money is fair: low price but don't except a lot from the place. The room is comfy although not so clean.

Beautiful quiet rooms in a magnificent setting by the sea. Special mention for Taranga, very attentive, without whom the stay would not have been the same. There were a few adorable dogs too that all the guests loved but one of the owners was quick to nastily scare away. That's the only thing we didn't like. Please take care of them

My favorite secret spot on the south coast. Away from the touristy stuff. Modest rooms but very good atmosphere. This place also respects local culture. Staff was amazing, especially Tharanga, and they deserve higher wages especially now when Sri Lanka is facing difficulties. I only stayed for two nights but it was magical. Thank you!

We are here today for the 6th time. A must for us on every trip to Sri Lanka. Wonderfully quiet place to relax.
Sri Lankan breakfast as we love it

What an amazing place! The staff is very friendly and kind, we became friends in these 6 days we stayed there. Great food, and memorable view from the terrace. I could not recommend it more!

I came here with my 2 best friends, initially stayed for 2 night but was so happy and relaxed that we extended our stay. The rooms are super clean and the staff very friendly! The prices are very reasonable and the view is soothing. So if u r looking for a quiet spot on the beach to breath out the stress of everyday life back home this is such a wonderful place. You can easily stay here a week:)

One of the best places. To stay in Sri Lanka.
I loved the staff, especially the cook. He was very good at cooking. I got the chance the meet the owner: Renaud who happens to be from Switzerland and a wonderful person. He shared his experience about this place. Right from the location, food, rooms, hospitality everything is.
This is comparatively cheaper and best deals compared to homestay near by in Tangalle.

Kleiner und wunderschöner Ort. Nur ca. 6 Zimmer/Bungalows. Direkt am schönen Strand. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Sowohl das Frühstück wie auch das Nachtessen waren perfekt frisch zubereitet. Sehr freundliche Leute hier! Wir genieesen es, es ist wie im Paradies! Danke nochmals!

Totally my kind of place because it's quiet and simple. Not fancy, but still you have everything you need. It's clean, the breakfast is really good (and, unlike 99% of the other places in Sri Lanka, you can get a really sri lankan breakfast with hoppers without ordering it the day before!), it's pretty unexpensive compared to the other accomodations around there. The eating place is in front of the sea and if you're lucky, you will spot some turtles while chilling there. All members of the staff are super nice. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer!

Far enough away to feel space and view the uncrowded beach but near enough to all the restaurants and town:)

Beach side. But not possible to swim at this part of the beach, need to walk 5 minutes. Accommodation has nothing special but not bat and not expensive. Ok for 1 night.
