Delicious food, we opted for the grilled mahi mahi fish with mashed potatoes and super large shrimps with pasta. Original dishes, nicely seasoned! The restaurant is attractively decorated, with a sea view and relaxing music.

Too loud music all day long and till late night disturbing the beautiness of the sea and the sound of the waves.
Even 300 meters away you can hear bum bum bum.
People staying close to cannot sleep and some places loose customers.
Really a pity for Tangalle

Some of the best seafood we’ve ever had! The owner let us know that the tuna on the menu was caught that morning and showed us a video of him filleting it — so fresh! The seafood pasta was also very yummy! The service was great and view from your table is pretty special!

The service was pretty bad as we had to wait over an hour for a lime juice cause they didn’t have people to make it
Some of the fish fillet and pastas were authentic and good but the chicken was bland.
The staff wasn’t genuine and seemed out to get the most out of a customer

Everything is lovely there! The location is perfect, the food is REALLY good and the staff and the owner were also really nice to us. The owner even dropped us at the bus station since it was raining non stop. We 100% recommend!

It was a lovely place to go for food and drinks. Definitely the most ‘happening’ place on the sea front, really great music and kind staff. Even in the rain we had a great time so I imagine it’s even better in peak season. We had the smoked fresh fish which was delicious and I would recommend. It has a large seat swing overlooking the sea as well as some indoor and beach seating. There is a volleyball net as well! Toilets were clean although we couldn’t find the light so maybe a sign
would be useful.

They are playing loud music all day long what is destoying beach experience not only for theirs customers but to everybody else

It was a great experience - one of the tastiest foods we tried! Wasabi tuna was very nice, so was the tropical energy dish and tiger prawns. Cocktails however were very tasty! We especially liked pineapple daiquiris! More expensive than average here on the island but worth it!

Great experience! It was my boyfriends birthday and they brought out a cake and candle for us.
Order the jumbo prawns they were incredible.
Owner was super nice and friendly.

Das Restaurant „The Lounge“ ist sehr gemütlich, die Athmosphäre direkt am Strand mit vielen schönen Details ist super. Zudem ist das Personal mega herzlich. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt, dass wir gleich zweimal dort essen gingen.

Ein absolut traumhaftes Personal! Preislich völlig inordnung für das was einem zubereitet wird. Es wird alles sehr frisch gemacht unf schmeckt fantastisch!

Nice place with an awesome team including chef. Very honest approach. We had avocado salad first and we wanted to have another one with avo and beetroot but he said that he wouldn’t recommend us to order it because all other avocados were not ripe enough. Definitely recommend to try their carrot and lemongrass soup! It’s delicious. And the music is great to chill and dance.

If you're around in this area, you should visit this bar. It's my favorite in Tangalle.

Beach restaurant with a Nice atmosphere.
Food items are delicious, but comparatively the price is high, most dishes are targeting foreign customers and prices are mentioned in Dollars.

Spacious, Nice place to have a chill, and breezy vibe.
Customer service is good and owner is a nice person.

We finally found a restaurant with a beautiful location and very good and healthy food in Tangalle! The owner is super friendly, speaks German and English, is super fun to talk to and knows what guests want. At the moment we are eating here twice a day since it’s a super chill and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Don't think, just come here! Lovely bar at the beach. Wide range of cocktails and drinks. I just had a very tasty cocktail with passion fruit. Smoothies are really smooth! Try mango with coconut smoothie! The music is also nice and funky. Highly recommend!

How should I start? We chose this restaurant because it looked nice on the beach and had good coffee. But seriously. 11$ for a single piece of chicken breast and one single potato? ! 4$ for a cabbage salad? Where at other restaurants you only have to pay a quarter for more food.

There are some photos with the menu from like 3 months ago. The actual prices are 3 times higher with no explanation.
Sorry, but I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Well ITS A TOURIST TRAP!
But once you know that you won't get a headache about the prices shown in dollar and the reason for that is simple you are more likely to be used to that range of prices for food in dollars than in roopies. 35000 rps for a dish you don't get to see that much often in SL. And not on the beach cabana
Once said the cooking is above the average here and if you don't mind overpaying it's a cool spot with some gourmet food with the Sri Lankan twist.
Not what I was looking for but some will appreciate

Amazing food, had Wasabi Tuna for starter (caught fresh that day, best I’ve had) and then Jumbo prawns and Mahi Mahi, both very fresh and delicious
