Ammachchi Traditional Food Center Keerimalai

The foods are Infested with flys.
We visited this restaurant based on previous reviews.
Food hygiene was very poor. Food containers not covered with lid to prevent flys sitting on them. Even I mentioned the the sales personnel about the flys infestation, the workers still not bothered to cove the short-eats with lid. As the main course containers were kept away from the view of the customers, I am unable to comment. But I doubt that is kept kept according to the food hygiene standard.

Food is not tasty.

Tea was good - strong tea and hot.

In Jaffna usually it is very hard to get good-quality tea.

Also, in the outskirts of Jaffna town, it is hard to get good quality hygienic food.

Friday July 21 2023 lunch: This restaurant was very dirty, there was no service and the restaurant was very smelly. Also there was no food choices rather than poori and samsa. The tables were not clean, nobody will come and clean the tables. And there was no fan to cool you like other restaurants
We visited for the first time and the experience is the worst. Before you go there pls think about your decision.

They have good poori. Regular visitor.

Foods are only available after 8am.
I WISH THEY OPEN EARLY like 6.30 to facilitate temple and pond visitors. Now their timing is 8am to 8pm. I wish they change it to 7am to 7pm at least.

This place is a very important to the people that who goes to worship the Kovil near it. And also to relax (eat) that who pass by this road. There is a car park that have like 5 slots. In the morning there are so many people coming to this shop and it is so busy in the morning. The taste in this foods are so good that you can feel the difference between this Jaffna Foods compared to Colombo or Cities out of the North Province. Normally I am not giving 5 stars to places, But I love this place so much. Remember to eat from this place when you're going a trip to Jaffna.

Those who coming to visit the pond can go to this place to eat. Clean and nice place. Friendly staff.
