Yarl Thevi Restaurant

This is a very unique restaurant situated close to the beach of Kankasanthurei, which can be easily accessed by road, railway station or the Thalsevana Resort. It is managed by the Thalsevana Resort. The restaurant is situated inside a refurbished Romanian Railway carriage.

It is a great place for local and foreign travelers to provide good food and drink.

Though the food is expensive, this restaurant gives the train ride experience with surround sound while enjoying the meal. The restaurant is a train compartment repaired and modified from the last train to Jaffna (before the war ended). The rest of the compartments can be seen at the KKS station (end of the railway line) at present.
