Malu Banna

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Malu Banna Watersports in Bentota, Sri Lanka, and I must say it was one of the most thrilling experiences I have had in a long time.

The staff were professional and very welcoming from the moment we arrived to the sad farewell (for now). We were greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home. Big thanks to Danushka and Ranjit)

The location of the watersports center was stunning, situated right on the beautiful Bentota River near the Bentota bridge, lots of action and excitement as tourists and locals alike engaged in fun times on the water.

They provided a free ferry service for people staying at the hotel, so we spent a few hours on the famous Sri lanka, Bentota Beach with the clear turquoise waters stretching out as far as the eye could see. There was a great surfing vibe on the beach.

The facilities at Malu Banna are top-notch, with all the necessary safety equipment readily available for use.

We participated in a variety of activities, including jet-skiing, snorkeling, and windsurfing. The instructors were highly skilled and provided excellent guidance, making sure I and the kids were safe and having fun at all times. The jet-skiing was a particular highlight, with the power of the machine giving me an adrenaline rush like no other.

Definitely a must do when in Sri Lanka. 5 stars and more!

Me and my wife stay 5 nights at Malu Banna hotel.

This place has amazing customer service, rooms are kept clean every day and hotel staf will do anything so you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

There are plenty water sport activities here and riwer has only small wawes so you can go watersport at any day.

In Malu Banna there is great possibility to have fishing trip to ocean or to local riwer. We had both and catch & eat fish food. Yammy!
One person who has to be mentioned is Chatu. Great fisherman with many helpfull tips with my own fishing gear to use and catch fish.

Also from here is easy acces to beach as hotel is offering free transport both ways. Bentota beach area has wide sand beach with not that many people there.

Excellent hotel. Stopped for 6 days. The staff works for you! Any wishes. I recommend. All at the highest level.

Rooms are super spacious, staff really nice. All of the guys were very friendly and well behaved. View outside the balcony was the best bargain. Stayed 7 days and enjoyed every bit of it.

The stuff is incredibly kind, the location is perfect, breakfast is delicious (ask for Sri Lankan breakfast the night before - it’s so worth it), and you can do all the water sports at a discount!

Malu Banna is just hats off. It is a really great place to spend the day and specially the jet skis.

Reasonable good prices, great customer service.

Only improvement I'd suggest is adding about 10 more spins to the jet boat family ride. I didn't get an adrenaline rush/felt too safe. On the plus side, the guide let my dad drive.

Total value for money. You get discount for water sports if you stay in the hotel. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, a nice view of the Bentota river.

Amazingly beautiful rooms, clean environment and friendly staff. Must visit if you are in bentota.

The fish cooked was really tasty and adventure sports are a must to do here.

Awesome watersports. Chatura runs a brilliant center. The 6 suites have awesome views and the rooms are very clean. Fresh fish is available on the menu in the restaurant.

Malu Banna is one of the most professionally run watersports companies in Sri Lanka.

Some of the Captains have Royal Yachting Association (RYA) from UK training.

There are a number of water sports activities that can be enjoyed and there is something for everyone. Rain or shine the attraction is open for business.

We even went out on a boat trip in the rain and it was awesome.

The owner Mr Chatura is a friendly and likeable person who makes you feel at home with his charm and big smile.
