Red Lobster Restaurant & Tours

Super friendly family own small restaurant. The fish and sea food are cooked with love and are delicious. The chef also roasted some extra curry and spices for me to buy and take home for my own home cooking:)

Our first time at the Red lobster, great food, great welcome. Staff were very attentive and polite its definitely worth a visit.cash only.

Nice change to nearby big hotel, not as reasonably priced as other restaurants in the nearest town Benthotha (try seashell restaurant in Benthotha, about £5 there & back in tuk tuk). I wanted to try the giant shrimp which I'd seen on reviews, so ordered garlic prawns, but I got king prawns as large ones were apparantly out of season. They were as you'd expect garlic king prawns to be, have to say not entirely convinced they were fresh but it was quiet monsoon season & we were the only people in there the whole evening, so so I'd understand if they weren't. Came with a lovely fresh salad of not too sweet fruit like papaya etc that complimented the fish perfectly, along with a giant bowl of veggie rice which was cooked beautifully, certainly no chance of leaving hungry! Other people had the whole grilled fish which they said was very good.
It's a family run casual restaurant, mum who cooked & son who served were a great team & very attentive. Be aware 10% service charge is added automatically, which seems to be common practise, I think there may be a government tax added too - I didn't see a bill but it was about 25% more than I expected it to be, just over 7000 (about £20) for the prawns & a lion beer. The loos are pretty grim, so go before you go, lol.

Red lobster is highly recommended for a delicious meal and their service. Good portion and worth the price.

Amazing evening with friends in one of the best family owned seafood spots in town! We managed to make a reservation and order our dishes evening before therefore the owners bought everything fresh this morning in local fish market especially for us! Be sure to order garlic or chilli prawns as they’re kings of the house and lobster is also to die for ;) A must see for everyone in Kalutara!

After hearing many good things and seeing plenty of 5 stars reviews about Red Lobster we decided we must try it.
The food is amazing with loads of options and is all run by one family. Food is made by the mother and the restaurant run by the sons which were both so nice and attentive and couldn't ask for nicer people or better service. We went back every night of our stay it was that good!
If you are staying in the Avani or Anantara this is just next door and offer food at a fraction of the price but still lives up to a very high standard.

Best place to get seafood in Kalutara. The seafood platter is very complete (includes crab, lobster, prawns, fish) and the staff is very accommodating for any need. Perfectly cooked. Try the garlic sauce! / Meilleur endroit pour manger des fruits de mer de qualité à Kalutara! Essayez la sauce à l'ail.

Had grilled crabs and grilled tuna. The food was very fresh and tasty. The incharge Yohan did his best to make us feel welcomed. Recommend everyone to try the place

Red Lobster Restaurant is a perfect place to enjoy good food with a relaxed, casual vibe. We ordered seafood Rice and some beverages. I love how flavourful, that Seafood Rice was, with all fresh ingredients. We had a friendly service. Enjoyed a lot. Will be back soon

We went to this Red Lobster Restaurant for a family dinner. A quiet atmosphere! I'm so glad I ordered Seafood and it was amazing. It was really delicious taste with great quality.

The sea food soup was perfect, cuttlefish fish and shrimp was cooked perfectly and was a good starter. Sea food rice was very good was already half full with the sup but finished the rice too.prizes was good with the current situation in Sri Lanka.location was good too enjoyed the restaurant a lot. Pleasant surprise was that it was home cooking done by the owner's mom.

The premises are extremely clean. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. The drinks are not pricey as other places. We got a welcoming and attentive service at this Red Lobster restaurant. Highly recommended!

On Saturday evening, I decided to have dinner at Red Lobster Restaurant. It was a calm and relaxed place. We ordered Seafood Rice and some beverages. The quality was absolutely the best. Delicious food plus excellent service.
