Beautiful waterfall, but less water this time since no rain. But difficult road to reach there. Have to walk probably 2Km. Even inside forest.
If you visiting there please care about environment. Also bring all the things back. It's so slippery rocks, mind it. Probably you need a day to spend here.

To reach this location, set your map location to Maangoda Temple. If you are coming from Kandy, take a left turn before reaching Hunnasgiriya town. The temple is the last place that can be accessed by vehicle. From there, you need to walk along a concrete path until you reach the end of it. After that, there is a small footpath that you can follow, which will lead you to a water stream. Along the water stream, you will find a clear path that will take you uphill to the waterfall.

Please be cautious during rainy days as the Babaragan Oya needs to be crossed at one point to reach the waterfall. Sudden rises in water level may occur. It is recommended to purchase some snacks from a major town that you pass by, as there are no small shops or stores in the village.

A very beautiful waterfall at Hunnasgiriya. Nearly 30 - 40 min walk across the jungle, from Hunnasgiriya town.

Wonderful waterfall. May be last level of Bambaraoya Waterfall. You can see it from Kandy Mahiyangana road about 500 m away from Hunnasgiriya town when you are travelling towards Kandy on your left. You will miss it if you are not cautious about your surrounding. When you further going down you can see another three steps of waterfall which are above and higher. Unfortunately I couldn't go close to none of these.

6 cascades in Bambaragan oya.

Traveling few Km’s along Dehigolla road we reached the bridge across Bambaragan oya. Our first target was the lowest most cascade which could be seen clearly from the main road. We followed a water diversion canal downhill (below the bridge) and at one point took another partially covered foot path to the right which took us towards the base of the fall (overgrown path). We immediately noted that there was a cave on the left bank and we headed towards it. It was a huge cave bordering the waterfall and would have been a nice place to camp during the dry periods. We later got to know that this was the cave where King Shri Wickrama Rajasinghe had spent time with his royal family. Few meters away from the cave there was another well sheltered cave and this is believed to be where he hid while Englishman were hunting him.
