Bethel Rest Homestay

We stayed in a beautiful, spacious room, spotlessly clean. Great bathroom with hot water and very effective fan. We had access to a lovely balcony overlooking the hills.
Rasika and Dilini are incredible hosts! They attended to everything with sincerity and warmth. We really appreciated our conversations and their insights.
The daily breakfasts were a daily delicious feast!
We tried the cooking course with Rasika which was one of the highlights of our month in Sri Lanka! We learned so much, created 10 dishes and have all the recipes to try when we get home.
Their dog Ash is also a delight!

We had a beautiful stay in Bethel Res Homestay! Room was really big with tall ceiling, clean, nice view, peaceful environment. Owners are so kind, they prepared delicious breakfast, helped us with tips about our trip to Ella.
We felt very safe, like at home.

We were allowed to spend a night with Rasika and Dilini. Both are extremely warm and make you feel at home. This is made easier by the fact that both speak good/very good English and they are happy to talk to you.

The room was not luxurious, but appropriate for the price, super clean and no negative surprises. It would be nice if mosquito nets were purchased.

When we were there, another traveler was recovering from an illness. The family took loving care of her and, among other things, accompanied on hospital visits. Meanwhile, they gave their (healthy) partner a deep insight into their lives.

We wish Rasika and Dilini all the best and thank you for the special time we were able to have with them.

We felt welcome from the first minute. It was great to be included in Rasjika and Dilini's home. What incredible welcoming and lovely people. We were there a few days before Christmas, which is the busiest time of the year for a pastor. And yet, all attention to us and our need. The food was delicious. We did a cooking workshop and before that together in shopping at the market. Learned a lot! Together, we attended a church service on Christmas Eve, then had a nice dinner out and once at home played cake, tea and games with the whole family. This was a Christmas Eve to remember. There were 5 of us as a family and when we had to say goodbye it was hard for us. Our youngest could barely hold back his tears, and that says enough about the 3 days we were able to share with this lovely family. Highly recommended to stay here when you want to learn about Sri Lanka and the people who live here. It is a totally different experience than a hotel, We would not have missed it for the world!

The view is quite spectacular as you can see the city of kandy in all its glory. The services provided by the host is very nice. Thank you for giving us a lovely experience of a homestay.

Quiet place in the otherwise crazy Kandy. Clean and well equipped room. Nice family. The host cooked me a great dinner and breakfast. I was satisfied here.

We had a lovely time here. Kandy is terribly busy so it was nice to stay in a calm area. The hosts are super nice, they prepared breakfast every morning. We really felt at home. Thank you!

I never stayed there, but when I call them to book, they asked me that they don’t allow locals, I don’t know that what’s the reason for that. Then I asked, what happen if I booking via booking.com then asked me that if locals book via any apps they will call and cancel booking.
If you are srilankan don’t book here.

Brothel is situated just a few minutes from the heart of town and has the most picturesque view of the city and beyond. The host is very friendly and they are very concerned about their guests

It's the first time we selected a homestay but I must say that the service was beyond our expectations. The place was very calm and clean (better than most of 3/4 star hotels). Our stay was relaxed and comfortable with the hospitality of owner Rasika and his wife. We recommend it for anybody who wants a calm, relaxed, and clean place to stay in Kandy.

Really the best stay so far in Sri Lanka, friendly and helping hosts. Participated in cooking class in the evening and it was totally worth it. Next time in town a must stay!
