Deanston Mini World's End

Many people pass this beautiful location on their way to Meemure, but they are unaware that this is also a place where they can freely enjoy the environment.

Easy accessible MWE in Sri Lanka. DWC center is also located at the begining of the trail hence you can buy tickets and enter, The circular route will go through a beaufiful forest path. Once you came to the MWE you can see many of the giant mountains in Knuckels Forest Reserve. Avoid rainy days and misty days will block the panoramic scenery view at the top.

Nice hiking location. Trail is not hard and it’s about 2km of length. Lots of leeches are there and be prepared.

To enter the trail towards the view point, you need to buy a ticket from the ticketing counter. The distance of the trail is about 1.2 km with a climb of about 60 meters to reach the first view point. The trail starts with a crossing of a small stream and passes by a pond with some resting places, then through a pine forest. Due to the nature of pine trees, you rarely find any birds in such forests. At one point, you come across a flok that leads to two view points. Taking the right turn and following the downward slope takes you to view point 1, which provides a panoramic view of Ududumbara town, Kandy-Mahiyangana road, and Kalugala area.

The entrance to the reserve cost a ticket that is not expensive, the walk to the end is worth it. The path takes you around a pond, through some trees and some lovely sights. Wonderful place with panoramic view. Hasalaka Tank, Sorabora Tank and Mahiyanganaya area can br seen from far. Dothalugala, side view of Lakegala also visible from the top.

The small hike that I had will be a memroable experience. No words to explain the view at the end of the hike to Mini worlds's end.

Great view points. An easy hike even for kids. Look out for leeches. If there are few at the entrance, there are many on the way. But they seem to be seasonal.

Very adventurous and interesting to see a beautiful view of Sri Lanka and greenish appearance around it so lovable for nature lovers. A very beautiful scary ends were there at the top, careful while looking down from top of the world's End.

ප්‍රවේශපත්‍ර කවුලුවේ සිට කිලෝමීටර දෙකක පමණ දුරක පා ගමනක් ඇත. (යාමට සහ ඒමට කිලෝමීටර තුනක් පමණ) මාර්ගය පැහැදිලිව සොයා ගත හැකි අතර එතරම් අමාරු ගමනක් නොවේ.

Nice place with picturesque view. Should obtain entry pass from forest department office situated at the trail head in deanston. Difficulty of trail can be rated as Easy. Hasalaka Tank, Sorabora Tank and Mahiyanganaya area can be seen from far. Dothalugala and side view of Lakegala also visible from the top. Total trail is approx 2km.

Good place to hike with family. My two daughters enjoyed the outing. 1.5km track to the mini worlds end. And nicely maintained path. Walk in between pine trees. 1hr drive from Kandy town.

This place has a breath taking view. There is a pathway to the view point. For directions search for 'Deanston Conservation Center', otherwise nit will take you on the wrong route.
