Florence Cottage

Nice place to stay. Has an amazing view. There are two houses available with a bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen. You can have a barbecue and outside sitting areas are available. Each house can accommodate five people. The houses were modern, comfy, and clean. Hot water is available but the water pressure is low. Each house has a TV but only the lower house has fans.

I highly recommend this place to stay but do not recommend getting a person to cook your food. We had to pay Rs. 2,500 for the person to prepare food for us and he did not even know how to properly do a barbecue. Their cleaning service is good but they do not know how to properly cook food and even though we have provided them with all the ingredients required they had not included them in the food. They are very friendly and nice but it is recommended to prepare your food on your own at this place.

Location and the service was great. The caretaker was a good cook. They can also arrange BBQ if requested.

The Location is very nice and surrounded by tea estate.there are two cottages are there and you can book above on your requirement.cook is there for you and only thing you need to do is giving the dry foods for him and he will do the rest.highly recommended.

Located amidst a tea estate, this cottage consist of all facilities and comforts and has a beautiful view of mountains.
Staff was very good. We brought dry rations and they cooked good meals for us. BBQ facilities also available.
Road towards the hotel is bit difficult but you can reach there in a car with good ground clearance.
Family cottage has a well maintained and clean bed room, bathroom, mini kitchen and dining area.
We had a pleasant stay at Florence cottage.

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE.
We talked to the owner/manager on the phone and then on Whatsapp to book a room around 5pm, he told us the caretaker would be there in 45min to do the check in. Once we got there around 6: 15pm, the manager told us the caretaker will arrive later, and later and then stopped responding. We waited until 8pm in the dark until we realised the caretaker will never come.
Good luck to find a room in the Knuckles after 8pm, I'm not even talking about food. We almost slept in the forrest.

Lovely location, beautiful scenery right round the property. Road can be a bit of an issue if your vehicle has low ground clearance. Workers are extremely helpful and cook amazing food.

A great place for family get away. Large Two Cottages can accommodate 10 Pax Easily. We brought our rations and the chef food was excellent. We had a BBQ night too. The Caretaker is a all rounder who does trekking and private waterfall recommendations if hard to walk in reaching them. Very relaxed location with views of mountains and on a lash Tea Estate.

The best palce to spend your weekend. Very peaceful place and the food was amazing.very delicious. I'll give 10/10 for Florance Cottage. Frinedly staff and the owner is very kind and very helpful. Hope to visit again soon. Wonderful exprience that will never forget ️

Good place to stay near knuckles. The road up here is rough so a 4x4 or a high ground clearance vehicle recommended. Food is very good. The caretaker is friendly. Place is well kept and got modern facilities. Prices are a bit high but worth what you get. Highly recommended

Very cozy place where you can spend your time comfortably. The staff is very nice and friendly. I was treated very well during my brief stay here, they provided free compulsory fruits for us as well which were all grown naturally. There is a very nice scenic view over the mountains, a lot of greenery is available here. The beds and sofas available were quite comfortable, the bathroom is up to standard with a water heater which would come quite useful given the cold temperatures there. You can order food, they do have a food menu and all the food will be prepared within the premises while you could also provide the necessary ingredients for the cook to get your meal prepared, though during my stay I cooked myself where I was provided with all the cooking equipment and spices for free. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone due to their excellent hospitality and hygienic, quiet, calm, green environment.

Nice little place up in the mountains with good views. Very reasonably priced. The place is still new and all items work as expected. It is advisable to use a car with good ground clearance to access the place as the final bit of the road is unpaved dirt road.
