Wonderful vacation, stay was peaceful and calm. Amazing food, rooms and very friendly staff. Definitely a "must visit" if you're in Hanthana. Mini hikes and beautiful view points all around. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Hanthana Eco! They provided superb service during our stay. They promptly fulfilled our request for a card pack, and the food was delicious. When we needed to buy specific items, they even went out of their way to use our vehicle and get what we wanted. Their service was excellent.

Everything was perfect. From the booking point to check out, the hospitality was brilliant. Love the food as the team was very friendly. Luxury experience for a reasonable price.

Seldom you come across a place that you want to keep it to your self and not share with the world… hanthana eco lodge is one of those places.with it’s stunning scenery, gorgeous walks, guest service up there with the top luxury hotels in the country.this little place punch way above its weight and make it looks very easy!
We were lucky enough to enjoy the exhilarating ride on the resident classic 4x4 to a gorgeous sunset vino overlooking the mountains.
The mornings were the best times to go for walks and capture beauty around you and be one with nature…
Thank you to the staff and especially to the nandana for looking into every single thing and making our stay surprisingly luxurious.
We will certainly be back and stay for longer.and will speak to our friends and family about this little gem in Hanthana…
P.s did I mention the hidden gem within? A natural waterfall that graces the lodge’s ground, creating a haven for the most exquisite outdoor baths! It was an experience unlike any other!

We had a good time and the location is amazing. Even though the location is nearing by to the road, the place and the surroundings are still amazing because of the elevated spot and the Hanthana mountain range. Staff is really friendly and helpful, specially the kitchen staff. Food is really good the both traditional cuisines and western meals. "The authentic spicy "Naimiris" chees and meat Kotthu is amazing. They have variety of items based on the request and helpful to select a better item.

A place with a really beautiful view.the best place to come for a vacation and the best place to spend a vacation for those who like to enjoy the beauty of nature.a free and quiet environment. There are no words to say, very beautiful place.

One of my friends recommended us to go Hanthana Eco Loged. And we arranged our visit for 2 nights on half board basis.
We arrived around 5pm, so we decide to order some snack for the evening. We wanted to order French fries but they said they don’t have French fries and offered some potato chips, which was okay.

Then we wanted to order pork for the dinner and they said the same thing that they don't have that one too. Not having things are okay these days with the crisis going on but they said inappropriate things like, that pork is expensive nowadays and could not offer as they couldn’t set prices for the customers. It was not our problem and they shouldn’t have mentioned such things with us.

Anyway, they only had Nasi Goreng, Fried Rice and Noodles for the dinner and we had no other options but to order from these three. I could not believe that they didn’t have a menu to order.

On the next morning they couldn’t serve a proper breakfast either, no tea, No fruits and pol roti without coconut. For lunch they had only rice and curry and the dinner was same as the day before.
On the 2nd day, breakfast was milk rice with Dahl and fish curry, and the curries were cold didn’t taste good.

And the worst part of my stay was, while we were having our breakfast, the Manger was staring at us while we’re eating which was uncomfortable and he took my camera without my permission and tried to check the photos. Besides they didn't deduct for 8 meals of those who couldn't come for the location. (For two people)

After all this tense and everything I got sick at the end our stay and it was not a worth stay even though the place was beautiful.
I would not recommend this place or their service to anyone and the staff wasn’t thoughtful enough to apologise for the bad service they provided. I do not want your pity apology as you only copy and paste it for everyone.

One of the best places we have ever been privileged to stay at. Nice surroundings, high quality rooms and staff was very hospitable since first greeting.
The service was exceptional from all the staff. The food was excellent and we got the privilege of having variety of dishes in our short stay!

I'm not a person who normally writes reviews. But I thought this would benefit someone who is planning to visit this place.
The view of the place and the rooms were pretty good. But oh boy, the food was terrible. First of all, they don't have a selection. Just fried rice, nasigurang, and noodles were the only options available for dinner. And they even didn't bother to ask what we needed for breakfast, and there was only one option available (Kiribath). No sea food, no meat options other than chicken, were available. If you are a foodie, I totally don't recommend this place as the food they serve doesn't value the money.

Highly recommend to visit this place for a relaxing holidays. Calm and quiet. Fabulous food. Staff was very friendly and served high class service. Rooms were very comfortable. Outstanding climate. I highly recommend this place to those who are planning to visit Kandy for a holiday.

The location is absolutely beautiful, calm and peaceful. The villa was cozy and comfortable, clean and spacious will all facilities to rejuvenate us from the long drive from Colombo. The staff was very friendly and. Welcoming, and ensured our stay was memorable.
The food was delicious, served at the beautiful dining area over looking the forest. All meals were highly satisfactory, big Portions and neatly presented. We loveed the desserts and the also the snacks made avialble at short notice. And make time to enjoy a nice cold waterfall at the edge of the hotel and explore the beautiful area in the classic jeep.overall, great place, great staff & service and great food. A great place to unwind and enjoy nature.

View was great, rooms are clean and comfortable. We have booked the hotel for two days per 8 on halfboard basis. And due to some reasons only 6 have stayed there. Food was terrible and even though 2 were not there for meals, management have charged the full amount (per 8).
They didn't even had french fries other than friedrice, noodles, nasigurang, fried fish, and chicken for both days.
For breakfast they never ask what we would like and what we don't eat.first day they had rotty which is good. And some cold bread slices.
Second day they had kiribath and again it's cold.
This is one of worst experience we had.

Hanthana Eco lodge is an amazing place for a peaceful vacation. I have been there, and planning to visit again once I return to Sri Lanka. The place is so serene, with beautiful scenaries. Food is very tasty and the friendly staff makes our stay extra special. Rooms are spacious and comfortable too. We simply relaxed during my stay. Enjoyed a nice hike and did bird watching too. First of all I would like to admire the hospitality provided bt the owner (Mr. Nandana) and Mr. Thuan and every other working at the Hanthana Eco lodge. They are very friendly, helpful and caring. They provided everything we asked them and even after we came home Mr. Nandana called and asked whether we got home safely.
Next, the place, rooms and cleanliness are in absolutely above satisfaction. The place very beautiful. There is a small water fall within the property and you can enjoy a frozen bath over there and it's really fun. Rooms are very comfortable and equipped with every facility. And the view from the rooms is just amazing. We ordered 2 double room and a family room. Family room fits for 4 people comfortably. And you would find some attractive setups within the family room.
We enjoyed the cold night with some booze and crazy music.
Next, their food is really awesome. They served us a complementary creamy soup and it was delicious. When we were out of barbcued meat, Mr. Thuan served chicken and sausages for the barbecue from the house. We really appreciate that hospitality.
You must try their pol rotty and kochchi lunu miris for the breakfast.
We went on a hike in the evening. The hike trail starts very close to the hanthana eco lodge.
I highly recommend this place for anyone. It's feels like home.

'The perfect get away with nature'.

Wonderful overall experience starting from the welcome drink to the point of check out. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and pleasant. We enjoyed the perfect meals with the true Sri lankan taste. The rooms were very authentic and comfortable with all necessities. To top it all, the view was mesmerising. ️

We visited Hanthana Eco Lodge during later part of October this year.

The location is situated on top of the scenic Hanthana mountain, not far from the city of Kandy. It was refreshing to wake up to the exotic birds chirping and have a little walk to the rock to have the morning tea. Further, right next to our room it was a beautiful waterfall, which was icing on the cake.

It was a pleasant experience for all three of us, starting with Nandana's "Ayubowan" at the time of arrival, until the "Come Again". I must also mention the extra efforts the team took in order to feed our one and half year old baby. Our child was pleased to receive a star-shaped "Pol Roti" for breakfast. It was all about the little guestures which tailored the services for us.

The room was also clean and had all the necessities included. We cannot wait to visit this breathtaking place again.
