Hotel Grand Casa

We stayed here for a night with a family of 7 of us.

The place looked good and the rooms were cosy and nice. Couple of the rooms had a nice balcony. The other room had a nice attic with a bed.

Staff made tea for us and very courteous and helpful.

The location is a bit away from Kandy and so one needs own vehicle to commute. We did take a walk in the morning to the nearby Polgollo Dam and had tea in nearby shack

At night sitting in Balcony we were mesmerized seeing fire flies. The balcony with table and chairs was nice to sit and chat and have tea too.

The breakfast was nice okay.but with fruits it was good.

Our room had a an issue with the bathroom door which did not have a latch. There seemed some repairs and upgrade works going on and hopefully be resolved. Otherwise it was a good place to stay.

Wifi was working only within the room. That was a limitation. Only I noticed that the modem and wifi was within the room ie behind the TV which is not ideal!

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife and one-year-old baby girl, and I must say, their service was truly remarkable. The staff was incredibly friendly and supportive throughout our stay, ensuring that we felt welcomed and taken care of.

However, when it comes to the room itself, I have a few suggestions for improvement. While the room was clean and adequately furnished, I found it to be a little bit dark, which was not ideal for a family with a young child. In my opinion, family rooms should have a lighter, more inviting atmosphere, especially considering that kids generally prefer brighter spaces.

Additionally, although the room had a double bed, it would have been fantastic if it were larger. As a family, we would have greatly appreciated a more spacious bed for a more comfortable sleep.

Despite these points, I still highly appreciate the hotel’s exceptional service, which truly made our stay memorable. The friendly and supportive staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. I believe that with a few adjustments to the room’s ambiance and a larger bed in family rooms, this hotel would be absolutely perfect for families like ours.

Overall, I would like to give this hotel a 5-star rating, primarily due to the outstanding service we received. I hope that my feedback will contribute to their continuous improvement efforts, making future stays even more enjoyable for families.

Quiet place to have a meal. Friendly staff and they are willing to assist the guests at anytime. Food is delicious. Parking space is limited otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to give five stars.

Surprising find in the heart of Katugasthota.right by the main road.the rooms were great and the kids specially enjoyed the family roo. With a small loft.
