Mccarthy Guesthouse

We usually stay there when we travel to Kandy since 2012. But when we last visited we decided not to stay anymore.
Room is not cleaned. Bed sheet & Pillow Covers are not changed at all. Toilet seat is broken. Not even a soap they have kept there. We had to request and remind them to give those.
The worse part is even after deposit the Advance we had to call multiple times to get the confirmation. No bother to answer the calls or call us back later. Owner lady has forgotten how to smile. She act like we came to stay for free.
Horrible and unwelcoming.
We will never ever go there again.

Great customer service by caretaker Lalitha. Balcony room was good. Wash room not too good but ok. Friendly customer service.

Mccarthy Guest House is situated near Sri Dalada Maliga.walking distance to dalada maliga.well maintained place including air condition rooms with hot water, non air condition rooms. Can accomodate for budget prices in kandy. Starts room rates from Rs. 1,300/- (october 2018). Single rooms, double rooms, family rooms available in this guest house.

A good calm place for private rooms for reasonable price in a good location in Kandy. You have parking as well, on our request they manage to arrange a tuk. The owners are very friendly and supportive. You can get to KCC within 5 mins from this place by walking. I prefer this place for a family stay.

This is a very good place where you can stay in Kandy. The room and the facilities offered were more than the value we paid.

Very good place in kandy! Affordable and if you ask, you can have a quiet room (which is nice as kandy traffic is very noisy)
