Great experience! Did full day 16 km hiking. Happy to have found Nipuna, as there is not much information online about trekking in Knuckles. The guide Janaka was very helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable (it’s was his 585th time on the track!)

The track was a bit more difficult than I expected, but doable. Janaka helped a lot on slippery stones, and basically dragged me on his arm half way back after I was unlucky to twist my knee (

Be prepared that weather can change quickly: from heat and sunshine to wind and rain. But the views are absolutely stunning! Knuckles is a must see, quite different terrain compared to Horton plains.

The tour was well organized: on time pick up on a Jeep, 1 hour transfer to trail start, lunches in a beautiful spot, swimming in a waterfall. As a suggestion for future: please provide trekking sticks, it would make a great difference!

Next time I would love to join a 2-3 day hiking for sure!

We opted for them because of the good reviews and they did not disappoint us. We did a 1-day trek, they came to pick us up with the 4x4 at the hotel and we took a 15 km route to some waterfalls. The landscape was really beautiful and our guide Janaka took very, very good care of us and explained a lot of things to us about the fauna and flora of the place. They provided us with water and delicious homemade food that we ate at the waterfalls. We asked them for advice on buying spices and on the way back to the hotel they stopped at a couple of stores where we bought good products at local prices. Without a doubt, an excursion that you cannot miss if you like nature and want to escape the hustle and bustle of Kandy.
