We selected okwin for our engagement. Staff was so kind. They helped us so much. And no words to describe about sceneries there. Food also was so delicious You can enjoy so much there. Highly recommend this resort. I’m so grateful to the staff members who helped us on our engagement day

Beautiful waterfall on one side of the hotel makes this absolutely unique in Sri Lanka. The room I stayed was brilliant with a spacious hot tub. Excellent for couples. It's the only good hotel in Nawalapitiya.

This is oneof famous hotel in Nawalapitiya. I have given my full satisfaction on rooms service Location but i have no experience on above categories. But i should be that kind of manament there. I would have visit there. That is my top list.

Good location. Good food. Friendly staff & good service. Property is located by Sudugala falls, so, it’s more than just a hotel stay.

Overall, we had a good experience with Hotel Okwin. We can highly recommend your hotel in the best accommodation list. The staff was very hospitable and there for our every need. We enjoyed 2 days without any trouble. Lunch, dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect. Thank you very much.

We had our annual get together at okwin resort nawalapitiya. Our group was 45 and we reserved 21 rooms. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. There was a good spread of buffet for both dinner and the breakfast, children too could enjoy well. Staff is friendly and arrangements were made on time according to our requirements. Adjoining water fall is fascinating. It’s worth for the money we spent.

Went with about 30 strong group of the Peradeniya University Engineering Alumni and families. Adjoining river with slide like waterfall was super. Hotel provided rope and life jackets for additional safety. Food was great. Huge spacious rooms. Toilet vent system needs attention. Entry was difficult for our big bus. Recommend clearing tree branches and bushes obstructing river view.

Fabulous destination in Nawalapitiya, right next to an accessible waterfall that you can dip & have a bath in.


The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was great but has space for improvement. Rooms are quite cosy and spacious.


We had trouble with the WiFi as it wasn't always accessible. They didn't check the rooms properly before handing over the keys, as some of the complimentary items inside the room were missing. It was also a little disturbing when we arrived as there was a very loud group getting drunk and making a ruckus for a good couple of hours.

Good Place to Stay few days. Very Cool and excellent surroundings. Food, staff and Room is good. Need to improve communication facilities. Reception not upto standard. Anyhow, Value for the money.

The experience I had here was quite unique and enjoyable. Most intriguing element here is the natural water sliding fall located adjoining to the hotel, with direct and easy access from the resort. This fall is a part of the Mahaweli river and it is a really beautiful, scenic and calming natural place. It feels like this fall is a part of the resort itself. You can sit by the fall and enjoy, or you can get in the water as well. The resort management supplies safety equipment too, if necessary. Also this resort has a well designed large pool. We spent hours bathing inside the river, following a swim at the pool. The food at this place were exceptionally good and delicious, with a wide range of choices available. The rooms were very clean and cosy as well. We did not need to turn the air conditioner on because it was naturally cold. Our villa was located next to the fall, and we could hear the sound of flowing water throughout the night, which I found quite relaxing. There was also a riverside cabana where our group could get together and have a private evening. Overall, this place was amazing and I had a really great time. The experience was entirely worth it. I would love to visit again.

One of the best hotels i have been to. Good food, good service and a lot of things to do. I would recommend this to anyone. 5 star hotel for me!

Terrible. I went here today with office staff and I was the organizer and coordinator. The staff was very good but the management was terrible. I am extremely displeased and has an unpleasant experience with the hotel. It was as if they wanted to us out of the hotel as soon as possible. I have no words to describe the extreme terrible service and the management teams.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone this place. They charge for drivers quarters and food but Treated the driver extremely badly. They have given him pol sambol and rice and another meal just fish curry all over the plate with a lot of manioc and rice. This is not the way any one needs to be treated.

Even the room bed sheets were dirty and not cleaned well. I was clearly visible that they don’t clean the rooms as often as they tell.

Our whole group had different levels and events with unpleasant experience. The additional meal which we paid for do the whole staff was extremely disappointing and utterly saddening.

DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. ITS CLEARLY VISIBLE THAT THEY DO NOT PRIORITIZE THE VISITORS THEY JUSY WANT MONEY AND TELL LIES TO BRING IN GUESTS.

I would never recommend this place to anyone or even visit this place ever again.

I just sharing about our experience about front gate security. We had a trip arround near by area & mean time we near to this hotel. We just request to refill our water bottles from gurd room but that gurd person refuse to give that support & even he shouted to us. Please think twice before visit. This happen on 2022-11-06

Highly recommend this hotel, who wish to see the beauty of nature as well as their service. Hotel staff is very helpful and very friendly. Each and every corner is clean and very safe place to stay.

Okwin resort is a resort with a hall and rooms. You can arrange your weddings, reception, engagement, birthday parties and any get together for a limited crowd. A best place to take out door shoots. You can enjoy your holiday with nice river site view by hiring rooms. Comfortable and neat rooms. Enough and safe vehicle park. Delicious foods. But only the problem is it is nearly 2km from Nawalapitiya town.

The resort is clean. The staff were very friendly. It has an amazing view and delicious food.

Overall I don't think it's worth it. Hotel is accessible with carpeted roads, located right next to a waterfall. Only upstair room have direct view of the fall. Not much else to do around the place. As for food, western dishes were terrible but local dishes were good. Spacious bathroom with a tub which is a plus but no use and the room is a let down with terrible positioning of bed making the stay awkward. Balcony area could have been cleaned as it was full of dust. I'd never go there again.
