1 We were a group of 9 people from India, who had booked this after seeing this listing on Google. We spoke to Ruwan and his son Prasad on Whatsapp and transferred the money for the rooms.
The place is ideal if you like rural village life, and if your trip is built around watching Cricket at Pallekele. We were booked for the Asia Cup matches (SL vs Bang and Ind v Pak). We wanted a place walking distance from stadium
The property is a DIY kind of a property. It has ample parking space for 3 cars, has AC in the rooms, but warm water takes a while coming. The water supply gets throttled on days when cricket matches take place apparently.
Ruwan as the owner is helpful, but if you dont know Sinhala, it will be tough to communicate details with him.
Ruwan makes tea early in the morning (7ish). This is not a traditional hotel with facilities round the clock. Its a home, where a part of it is being run as a homestay.
