Redhill Kandy

The worst of the few places I slept in in Sri Lanka. Stink, dirt, fungus, cold water, meager breakfast. A host who believes that this is the norm and a standard in Sri Lanka - nothing like it. Every place was clean, here there were bugs in the bathroom, and there was even a mouse in my friend's mattress!

We stayed here for two nights. It was an amazing experience. The owners were super kind and wanted to help with everything. I wasn't feeling very well because I ate something wrong. The owners wife is a doctor and came by to check up on me. She prescribed me some medication and was super caring.
Also, we had an incredible view from our room. The beds were nice and there was a big bathroom with hot water. We would highly recommend.

We discovered this little gem of a hostel perched on top of a mountain! There is a breathtaking view.so relaxing and peaceful.wow! Of course, you have to use tuk-tuk transport to get to town because it's faster and maybe 45 minutes walking. Our host was super welcoming, generous and above all also very helpful with our questions and the planning of local visits. The breakfasts were really good with fresh fruits every morning.so fresh and perfection riped! Miam! He is really nice, pleasant and accommodating. The rooms have almost all been renovated too.are clean and very good! I highly recommend it if you want a warm, quiet and typical place!

A beautiful picturesque place with an incredible view of the valley through which the river flows. I'm sure not many people were served morning coffee in a place like this. Chulanka is a very hospitable owner who is knowledgeable in many aspects of spending time in Kandy. He will always help with advice and, if necessary, arrange a taxi or tuk here. Near the hotel, literally two steps away, there is a restaurant with decent cuisine and service. We spent unforgettable days in Kandy, also because we chose the hotel well.
Thank you Chulanka, we will definitely come back.

Location and the host and service were great.
Should be better maintaned. Stains on sheets.many small things that could be easily fixed. At least in family room.

This is an awesome place. Also it is very clean and comfortable. There is a very friendly staff. They are provide delicious foods. You can see very beautiful 180 degree balcony view of victoria resoure. You can drink a cup of tea and enjoy the beauty of the nature. 100% satisfied. Highly recommend for you.

Highly Recommended Redhill Kandy

I have been to a couple of places, but hands down this location has the best view Kandy has to offer. This is the place to be, if you like to wake up with the birds. Flocks of parrots and pigeons are a common sight and if you're lucky you'll see hawks flying parallel to you. When it comes to food, a wide variety of food is available from local food delivery provider (PickMe) and you can ask the host for good recommendations if you don't like surprises. If you're up for it, it's a good workout to walk to the city and return but the host got contacts with good tuk-tuk drivers. The room was clean and had everything I expected. The host (Chulanka) is a kindhearted gent, very attentive to all my queries and I will definitely return next time I'm in Kandy!

It's a place with amazing hospitality. Small place with a great service and an amazing view. Superb place to chill.

A good place for those of you who are looking for a great view. Great service, great food, perfect atmosphere. Highly recommend this place to anyone without a doubt.

The view and the service is incredible! The location is okay but I wouldn't walk anywhere, you're at the top of a steep hill so I'd suggest you get a tuktuk anywhere.

The rooms however were the dirtiest I've ever seen (and I've staying in a lot of backpackers), I don't think they've actually dusted in years. There were dead bugs everywhere and the towels looked stained, I was hesitant to use them.

They are in desperate need for a spring clean, and then I'd give them five stars.

Great Place with the great view. Food is simply out of this world and the owners are very kind and helpful. Hope to be there again.
