Sandalu Eco Resort - Knuckles

Great place to spend your vacation with friends and family. You have to bring the goods for your food. The person who cook the meals is very good. Enjoyed their BBQ as well.

Beautiful place with lots of antique statues, somehow the amenities needs to be improved a bit. Some rooms have good washrooms and some hasn't. Washrooms and rooms are very spacious. Some Rooms and lobby has good views to the nature. Has a spacious garden. On a rainy day the garden is full of leeches.
Friendly service as well. You need to bring food and they will cook for you.
Very hard to get to the hotel. Needs a vehicle with good ground clearance + experienced driver.

Poor maintenance, place is surrounded by leaches specially on rainy days and nothing much to do indoors (the pool table they have is custom made, can't play properly with that). But overall a Ok place as the facilities were good and had a friendly staff

Nice place to spend.time with nature, and the of knuckles mountain is awesome. Quite expensive place.

Relaxing Stay!

Good for a group and people who would love to go hiking or camping in Knuckles. They provide guidance and care.

Cooks are available. If you provide food they will cook.

Very neat rooms and washrooms.

Children play area.

Mind relaxing place.

Good place to enjoy your holiday. We stayed for 2 nights. Super service from the care takers. Near by water stream to have a natural bath. Road to the bungalow is very tough. Should have a 4weel or high ground clearance vehicle.

Hidden Place, Tough route but been there is fully worth, more than 15 people can accommodate tasty foods from the cook, beautiful and breathtaking surrounding, recommend for families, superb accommodation, and passing the tea estate you will find a beautiful small streams that you can enjoy

Lovely scenic beauty. What a nice weather. Peaceful environment. For a calm and quite break. But you have to use a four wheel vehicle or a vehicle with same ground clearance for the access to the place.caretaker s are available and you have to take all the goods to be prepared by them. BBQ facility also available. You can go for few waterfalls in small range of distance

Awesome place to stay! Clean, Safe & cozy. With many activities including pool table and dialog TV large garden area to play kids. Best place to stay if you are planning to summit Knuckles Mountain Range. Saree ella and knuckles upper falls usually can have a waterfall bath. Climbing knuckles and/or relaxing you holiday I recommended to this place. Cook / caretaker given as to superb support. Delicious foods they made to us. Road condition rough and narrow (but accessible by any vehicle). Manager Sandun give us to all the information right on time and things to do and sightseeing near the bungalow. Highly recommended this bungalow to the nature lovers. We’ll visit again.

Not recommended.
We informed the owner (Sameera) before one month to our visit and made a booking as he requested. We have clearly mentioned what are our requirements and surprisingly there was no preparation by him as expected.

Even we have asked two days prior to the date of visit whether there are any problems, owner did not mention about the road which was closed for constructions more than a week. That resulted us to park our bus in an unsafe place and walk to the hotel about 2kms.

After we have reached the hotel surprisingly the meal arrangements were not as we discussed a month before. We were very upset and helpless that time, as we have already traveled a long distance to reach the hotel and there is nothing to do or decide than staying there. After the discussion had with the caretaker, he told that he was not informed like that in advance.

Next day our plan was to hike knuckles early in the morning. For that we have requested to pack our meals at 6 and start to climb. Even everyone has got up early in the morning and prepared to the hike, disappointing all the team members meals received around 9am.

For the whole time when we were there, the owner did not come to meet us by himself. It is one of his tricks. He is just saying all the things have informed to the caretaker and talk with him. Advice you to not to rely on what he is saying because he has ruined our annual trip which has planned more than a month before.

Nice location. But the service is not as expected. The road was closed due to construction.and the manager didn't informed us and when we asked about it, they said that they didn't knew about it.but the villagers said it was closed more than a week.and we had to use an alternate route which we had to carry our luggage using three wheels. We had to park our vehicle without protection.we discussed meal arrangements with them before our visit, but it was not as promised.

It was one of the bad experience which i had.

Rooms and washrooms are in good condition, Everything was fine except there service,

One of bad experiences had in this place,
even though the resort got the location attraction, hospitality and the poor service ruined the journey.
Hence make sure not get cheated by the hotel owners
