Fully satisfied bungalow I ever took. This is the best. Go to this place eyes closed.

We live in New Zealand and we travelling in Sri Lanka for nearly three weeks. Three of us stayed at Shady Grove in Kandy for one night during our travel; without doubt that is a excellent place to stay. We wish we would have stayed there longer. Nalin the caretaker is not only a excellent caretaker but is an excellent cook. He made us magnificent breakfast which was one of the best breakfast we have had during our holiday in Sri Lanka.

Excellent excellent and excellent. Location calm and quiet. Good food. Caretaker Nalin was a very pleasant person. Rooms and gardens very pleasant. Loved the stay.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The house is built very tastefully, maintained well and offers great views! Especially the view from the main bathroom ;)
It has a charm in the early morning that makes you want to stay for another day: the smell of fresh air and the songs of the birds in the valley below.
It's location might be a problem if you don't have a vehicle of your own or if you prefer to walk to the hotspots in the city. But this is exactly the point of such a place I guess: escape from the usual.

Very well designed cottage on several levels. Very good homely caretaker. Beautifully designed garden.

Of all the hotels, airbnbs that we stayed in, this is probably the best! Nali, the caretaker, is amazing. He cooks amazing sri lankan food and there's too much food we can barely finish it! The house is 4 stories and just fit us 4 couples perfectly. Will definitely recommend for big groups. Wish there are more chairs in the lounge area for people to sit on?
