The Bungalow by Amaya

The bungalow is the best ever place we visited and had a nice time. Further the staff specially Suranga, Prasanna and Gayan were very positive and they looked after us very well. Also food is delicious and enjoyed.

It had a beautiful view and the staff was really good. Prime location for a nice vacation and a good location for photography.

Nice location and the villa is superbly clear. This is a part of Amaya hill Kandy so we were able to use all facilities in Amaya Hills hotel and the villa is fully private.

I have stays at this little gem close to Kandy. Spectacular views and great hospitality. Specifically Suranga the person who manages the bungalow and his hospitality should be admired. This is the place if you are looking out for a personal curated getaway.

Nice location and the villa is superbly clear. This is a part of Amaya hill Kandy so we were able to use all facilities in Amaya Hills hotel and the villa is fully private. We can use the Amaya hill pool or the private pool in the villa. Excellent staff service, especially Suranga.

Wonderful place and so peaceful. Food was great snd service was perfect.

This is a good place. Compared to what you pay, the amenities provided were less. Very spacious room but a small bathroom. Pool is okay. There is a good Butler, who took care of almost everything that we needed. To take buffet, you need to go-to Amaya Hills. They will provide transportation. If not they will bring the food to the bungalow. Sleep quality and comfort is very good. Very good place to relax and get spa treatments.

Location is right distance from Kandy city. Not too far, not too close.
Different experience than staying in a hotel room. If you travel with few friends or relatives this is an ideal stay.
Butler to serve your needs. (Provide a mobile phone so you can call him where ever you are. Very convenient)
Surrounded by trees and mountains with a rooftop to relax with nature.
Dinning at Bungalow or Amaya Hills hotel buffet. (transport is provided at anytime between hotel and Bungalow). Butler was willing to arrange dining outside the bungalow (garden or rooftop) but we preferred to ride to hotel buffet.
Private pool and separate spa facility for Bungalows.
Ladies enjoyed the Spa facility and recommended. Can request a female therapist instead of the male therapist at the spa.
Inside the bungalow it has a spacious living/dining area and a large kitchen.
We had two families with kids and enjoyed the stay much. If you can stay more than one night it would have been more relaxing. Bungalow we stayed had 2 large rooms and 2 small rooms. Since we booked both triple rooms other rooms has kept vacant which provided us great privacy.

A wonderful little oasis just outside the heart of Kandy, the view from the hotel were stunning. The fact that there are only a few rooms makes this feel very exclusive and allows you to properly relax without hundreds of other people around. Our suite was exceptional and we certainly weren't expecting the level of detail and quality that welcomed us. The personal butler was a touch of decadence and not something we are used to but it was certainly a treat. Both he and the Chef provided wonderful service and were attentive without being intrusive.
I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a little bit of luxury.

Needs a lot of maintenance. We had booked 5 rooms and all of them had alot of ants in them. Some had ants on the bed too.

This is SriLanka at its best. Our butler was the best.unforgetable days with a great breakfast on the lawn.

If you are looking for the best service in a rented house, with 3 bedrooms, and amazing breakfasts, you should visit this bungalow. It’s not near the center of town, but we found it worth it 100%

Its a Great Place. Very friendly people, Tasty Food, Fully equipped Comfortable Accommodation, Close to nature and Sites, in Kandy, prices are very reasonable, Very peaceful just like in heaven.:)

The Bungallows are first class. The Hotel associated with it more caters for the mass bus tour market and isn't therefore in the same league.
