Windy Hanthana

I'm posting this review as We had a great vacay at Windy Hanthana. The hotel keeper was really friendly and kindhearted.
If you are searching for a budget friendly holiday inn windy hanthana is a perfect choice.

We had an amazing experience with our stay at this hotel. The host, Kithsiri uncle was very friendly and provided an exceptional customer service. We had a wonderful time with our friends & enjoyed our stay freely. The view was amazing & the rooms are very clean with a beautiful design. The balcony is perfect for enjoying a quality time with your loved ones. Highly recommended for a delightful & cozy stay.

We spent one night here on 14th Nov 2023. We booked a family room and a single room. There is a double room for the same price. Family room has a one single bed and a queen bed. Double room has no extra single bed. Family room was 2500/=. Single room was 1000/=.

No point of going there for a view. The view is covered with another building. But the place it's located is beautiful because it's on hills. If you go for a morning walk you can do nice sightseeing.

They provided 2 towels, 2 glasses, toilet paper roll and soap. The beds weren't occupied from a long time. So we felt it was dusty and in the middle of the night I had a very intense smell of geckoes. There are lot of mosquitos. Don't forget to ask for an electric repellent.

They don't provide meals. So you have to use Uber or pick me.

There is a butler who's trying to do his best job. You can discuss whatever your requirements. We wanted to come back and freshen up after our check-in time because we left the place early. We did so with their permission. We asked for morning coffee and got it sharp on time. Milk coffee was tasty.

Bathroom was clean. The room has an extra sink and a 4 seater table if you eat in the room. There were everything we needed in the room.

We didn't ask for WiFi since it was a cheap stay.

It's better if the place is cleaned before someone comes. Otherthan that everything was fine.

Highly recommended. Clean, modern, neat, and fresh. With a great view and spacious and comfortable common areas, including a huge rooftop terrace with a (soon to be) outdoor kitchen. Downstairs, there is a common indoor kitchen. We had the luxury room with AC, refrigerator, warm shower, kettle, and a balcony with a beautiful view. Really good value for money. The caretaker is very friendly and very helpful, and the same goes for the owner, whom we got to know because we stayed at his other accommodation in Kurunegala (Metro Stay). We left important personal belongings there, and the owner contacted us immediately and personally ensured that these valuable items ended up in Kandy, which was on our route, and returned to our possession.

We cannot emphasize enough the high quality, homelyness, helpfulness, and above all, reliability of this accommodation, caretaker, and owner. Our gratitude is immense.

Great place to rest.you can have a peace of mind with the surrounding and calm, sound less environment. The only sound I herd was blowing wind, and songs of birds.
