Dupan Bake House reviews
9It is the only place where I found a place to eat something on my way to Hatton from Dankotuwa. The food is tasty, and the working people are friendly here. An open kitchen is available and we can see and observe how our meal is prepared. Prices are reasonable. The only negative point is, it is hard to find a parking lot during the daytime.
This will be the only place I will go to dine if I'll be around Ruwanwalla again. Food wasn't amazing, but not too bad to complain about. There's plenty of space inside the dining area. The staff was quick and friendly. You can buy snacks, cakes and විස්කිරිඤ්ඤා as well. Overall, miles better than the restaurants nearby.
Today (5th August 2023) I went to buy some short eats foods at around 7.30 pm, but the staff (a woman) at the cashier counter was rude and did not know how to speak politely with a customer with proper manner. She seemed disinterested in serving customers and lacked any basic courtesy. Dear proprietor, train your cashier staff on how to speak politely with customers unless otherwise you will loose your loyal customer base in the future pretty soon. Hope you will take prompt action to improve your staff's attitude and behavior towards customer service.
We usually take shorteats from this shop when we are going to nuwaraeliya via kitulgala hatton road. Their foods are very tasty, fresh and have so many varities and reasonably priced. The place is very clean. The staff is very friendly and professional.
Friendly service with very good experience. A good vibe.thank you so much.good luck.see you again
There is no quality in the food bought at the price paid. It's just that it's expensive.
One of the quite and well organized place in the middle of the city. It is situated near the main road. Plenty of parking spaces were available. There are two entrances to access the restaurant. The foods are very delicious and many food varieties are available. Suitable for family dine in. The service is very good. Plenty of spacing available.
Best place in Ruwanwella town to buy bakery items and Short eats. Breakfast and lunch also available with Sri Lankan cuisine and fride rice which I do not recommend. Always opt for Rice and curry if you are here for breakfast or lunch.
Cakes.
Butter cakes are good and they provide value for money but always avoid Gateau and icing cakes they are the worse. Not just once I have several experiences on their Gateau and special event icing cakes all were horrible.
The staff attitude and sanitary facilities need to improve.
Bottom line is Bread king of Ruwanwella.
Today 17/11/2022 morning I purchased 2 pieces of milk rice and a boiled egg. And the waiter asked to put chicken gravy too and I said yes. But the cashier bill it Rs200 for milk rice (OK), and a egg curry for Rs. 220 which is totally unfair. Becouse they didn't serve a egg curry. They just gave a boiled egg and chicken water (can't say a gravy) and billed for a egg curry which was Rs. 220. Then I asked do they have spereate code for egg and chicken water. Then said yes, boiled egg for Rs. 90 and chicken gravy for Rs. 100. So cashier has no sence to bill it correctly as boiled egg and chicken gravy Seperately and the duty manager (a matured lady was there) and she also can't understand how unfair to charge for egg curry by serving a boiled egg and a chicken gravy. I am a regular customer of your Ruwanwella and Karawanelle branches. Even it is just a over charge of Rs. 30 (220-190), I am totally dispointing your billing strategy. Please educate your cashier to have more sence (common sense) without billing like "koheda yanne malle Pol vage nethiva". Please.
