A total rip off. CRIMINAL! King coconut oil for 38 euros! Well managed, rhetorically trained, psychologically too. This place should be closed by the police.

Very bad experience.we have been there last week and bought the medicinal glass made out of wood which was very expensive and assured that drinking water from that glass will surely help in reducing the sugar levels.after unpacking it we found the glass is broken (pic attached) and does not holds a single drop of water.
And also bought the tea that they serve, it tastes useless at home, Tata tea is far better than this useless and so called spice tea, which has NO flavours.
Very disappointed with the products we bought. All my money got waste.
Think 10 times before buying anything.

FRAUD ALERT! Worst place and worst staff. Everything is fake there. Extremely overly priced and none of the products are trustworthy. The hair removal creme that they test on you is fake too. They will also tell you that they will refund full money if products don’t work. This is a blatant LIE. Beware and report this place. They also lie that they are a government operated company. They will give you up to 70-80% discounts because obviously everything is fake and costs no more than 100LKR.

I went to multiple ayurvedic places as I have had really good results in the past. This particular place was the most expensive out of all the ones I went to. I have not tried their products so can't comment on that.

A quick tour of various spices and trees. Small area but worth a quick stop

Show sells only medicinal items; don't expect turmeric or nutmeg owders. Expensive meds.

Trap for tourists. Dont buy things by creditcard and be sure about prices before you buy anything.

Very boring. The cost of products is too high and you don't know whether it is genuine.

Snake oil salesmen parading as a “spice garden tour. ” Our driver took us here as a short little add-on to our drive to Kandy. When we arrived, we were expecting something interesting. It was essentially a 5 minute walking sales pitch through a poorly maintained kitchen garden, followed by 20 minutes of asking what you want to buy without telling you the prices. Your jaw will drop once they tell you the costs, and you’ll decide to buy nothing.

If your driver insists on taking you here, politely decline. Or you can make the people working at the “garden” go through their whole song and dance and then just not buy anything.

A nice educational experience which is free. The tour guide has an interesting personality which some may like or dislike. Massages are offered to male visitors and there is Ayurvedic pharmacy on site.

Don't waste your time here - first they try to tell you about the unbelievable things that the spices and herbs can cure / do and then try to sell you VERY expensive versions of these products. They won't even tell you the ingredients in the products which is very suspicious.

Tour Guide decided to take us to this place despite it not being part of the planned tour. The sales guys was friendly and greeted us at the door. He was more than happy to show off the products and make up a range of potential uses for each. It's pleasant as you walk through the garden until you get to the little hut at the back and then they start making you select items you like from a list without showing you any prices. If you don't circle items on the list the sales guys will persist until you select something. Then they work to separate the group. As I was clearly the most reluctant to circle items they knew I'd be the most difficult so someone came out to 'demonstrate' the massage oil on me while they took the others to the crazily overpriced 'pharmacy' (he did clarify when I asked that this is not medicinal, simply herbal), also note, you will be asked to tip the guy for this massage at the end despite never asking for it. When my partner showed a reluctance to buy they sent her back to the back of the garden to join me while they isolated her mother in the store and started trying to get her to buy now she was free from me and my partner reminding her of the prices. Most items seem to start from 9900 rupees (~$55USD) for the tiniest quantities to 20000 rupees (~$113USD) for basic herbal products that you can easily buy better quality from Spa Ceylon. The sales person was desperate to convince us that these products were affordable to the locals and they used them all the time.

Overall it is the most blatant example of a tourist trap I've ever seen. It was almost amazing how deceptive and conniving the staff were.

Recommendation: AVOID

There is so many amazing things to do I Sri Lanka you don't need to waste your time at this place. If you want herbal products try places like Spa Ceylon etc
