Rikili Falls රිකිලි ඇල්ල reviews
31This is very beautiful waterfall in udapotha area. It is located far from the road. So there is no clear access from the road. If you want to reach to this waterfall you should go another route from other side. Furthermore the flow rate of this Rikili Alla decrease and beauty of the waterfall also decrease in dry season.
Easy 10 minutes trail near to the bottom of the Waterfall. Waterfall can be seen on the main road even.
A pretty big fall right next to the road. You can watch the fall by staying on the road itself, or else if you prefer you can reach to the bottom of the falls as well.
Another amazing waterfall near Bulathkohupitya Dedugala road. Taller than the other waterfalls found in this road, But shorter than Olu alla obviously. Reccomend to go there in rainy and misty whether. Watch out for leeches. It'dbe helpful if you bring a dettol bottle or any other liquid which can get rid of leeches.
A great publicly unpopular waterfall. This reminded me of Knuckles Duwili Ella waterfall. To get here just follow the stream.
There will be footpaths that will redirect you to forest but DON’T follow them. Always follow water stream by climbing rocks and logs.
Its a small hike but have difficulty around 7/10 (If you’re hiking with gf or wife who’s haven’t hiked before). Wouldn’t recommend hiking with children cause you’ll have to climb some boulders to reach the waterfall. 15 - 30 minutes hike from the staring point (map Location)
There will be leaches but not many just one or two. Only leave footprints. Be safe and enjoy.
Located roadside and you tend to miss as it is not visible when you travel from Bulathkohupitiya to Dolosbage.
Easy 10 minutes train near to the bottom of the Waterfall. Waterfall can be seen on the main road even.
Rikili Falls is a waterfall located in the hamlet of Udapotha on the Bulathkohupitiya-Dedugala road (B67) in Kegalle district of the Sabaragamuwa province and is 90 meters in height.
The source of this waterfall is a stream running down from the nearby Hunusahaldeniya mountain range and flows in to the picturesque Ritigaha Oya which then merges with the Kelani River.
A beautiful sight and a must stop specially during the rainy season when the falls is at it's fullest.
This is a picture in the rainy season to bulathkohupitiya (September). Not the very heavy flow of water. Situated In the road to Nawalapitiya. Road is not in good condition but still ok for cars, buses. We start from Galle and traveled for around 6.5hrs to reach Bulathkohupitiya ️.
A easily reachable waterfall in Bulathkohupitya - Dedugala road. It can be seen from the road and with a small trekking can be reach to the upper part. It's a really amazing experience that you can go into the waterfall and see the scenic view from behind the waterfall. Rocks are slippery so keep alert about it. And it's better to go there in rainy season.
Very nice waterfall. Which can see near the road. Height is about 90m. Rainy season waterfall is majestic
This is the view from the road. You can go to the bottom of the waterfall through the woods withing 10-15 minutes. There can be leaches attacks. Water amount vary with the rain season. This is the first waterfall after bulathkohupitiya towards the dedugala.
This is a tall waterfall situated on the Bulathkohupitiya to Dolosbage road. It is the first significant waterfall you will notice when travelling from Bulathkohupitiya. The water flow is not a large one, hence the waterfall flows smoothly over the rock. Only the upper section is visible to the road, hence you have to walk for a few minutes to reach the base of the waterfall.

'Rikili Ella (Rikili Falls) ' rock located in Udapotha, Bulathkohupitiya, Sri Lanka. You can get a stunning experience from hiking to the top of the mountain. It is not much tough to climb. It is a journey of 1 hour through the forest. The water fall is 30m of height and the view you get is amazing.
It is a 30 minutes ride to Rikili Falls from Bulathkohupitiya which is known as the paradise of water falls in Kegalle. You can see around 5 -10 water falls around this area. Ex: - Nalagana Falls, Rukmal Ella, Olu Ella.

Very small water flow but beautiful can climb up the halfway and flower find the cave like place, but this can do only in dry season otherwise can be very dangerous
Very nice scenery. Not a strong waterfall unless it is the rainy season. It's a nice route to the waterfall from Bulathkohupitiya town
It is located near to Bulathkohupitiya - Dedugala road. Very tall waterfall but no too much water even in a rainy season. Photographs below were taken in a rainy season.
You can see upper part without getting down from your vehicle. However there is a unclear foot path towards the bottom of the waterfall. Its start from the board of "Rikili Ella".
With in 8 mins we can reach to the bottom. Last part is unclear and slippery. Be safe on your journey. Stop where you understand the danger. Don't go further if you are a stranger to location.
