Cafe Amakie

Recent visit to Cafe Amakie left us with a heartwarming and flavourful experience. This charming café, nestled facing the Kurunegala Negombo road close to Narammala town, is a perfect spot for those seeking a delightful escape, a sip of warmth, and a bite of delectable treats.

We arrived there as a large group and they had 4 men working to serve us the drinks asap. There is very good tea and the cappuccino is nicely decorated. The atmosphere is very inviting with lots of wood and clean.

I had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant! The warm welcome and excellent customer service set the tone perfectly. Their extensive collection of tea and snacks cater to all tastes. This place is spotless. They have a friendly staff with excellent service.

However, I would not recommend this place because we don’t get what we pay for.

The food is not bad, and I understand it costs money to run a business like that, but the food is not worth what they charge.

The club sandwich with potatoes was excellent and the ICE latte was great!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating and gave us a warm welcome.
Definitely worth a stop.

Best food in the town with great hospitality. Reasonable prices with wide range of Food include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. There are their own products too. Mine fav was Kochchi sauce. Must visit if you are around in Kurunegala.

If you happen to go past Narammala, please make a stop at Cafe Amakie because this would be an ideal place for a decent meal or a coffee on the way. Love the coffee here. A proper coffee shop with skilled staff that knows their craft! Full marks for the presentation as well.
This café is located far away from Colombo and mostly serves locals, and yet they maintain such high standards. So, nothing less than 5/5 from me. Will definitely be visiting for more coffee soon!

Tried kebab and felt like a toddler made them. Very bad. Over fried chicken on a stick. Very very poor food.

Food are excellent. Good service. No other place in this area to match this one. Only thing is prices are little bit higher side.

Best coffee that is sourced from matale. Place is clean and the staff is very professional.
Price is reasonable. If you visit for breakfast do not forget to order their prawns curry served with bread toasts and coconut sambol. Delicious!
I would recommend their flat white coffee as well.
