We have visited there serveral times. One out of a bad restaurants in Kurunegala. Worst customer service.

Customer service was poor we had to wait 30 minutes to give order and manager was drunk. Food also poor quality. We used to come here year ago it was perfect. May be the problem is with the management.

Not recommending to anyone, please don't go, waste of time and money, some years back this was a very good restaurant (one of the best in town) but now, very poor service, cleanliness is zero and the food is not tasty at all but very expensive and not even worth for money, the food neither had salt nor spices.

Set by the lake in a lush surroundin, is was astonishing how poor the service and food was, given the little effort needed to make the place a “must” in an area scarsly densed with restaurants
The tast of the courses on the buffe was OK for restaurant with few abitions. But, our biggest concerns was the lack of food on it!
I was informed that the kitchen was busy and we truly believe them. When some chicken in garlic arrives half of the small shanks are raw inside. They were even short of rice dishes! Giggling along with a group of Japanes that was even more confused of the aspirations the establishment strived for cheered me up at least. With the buffe menu a hamburger was as well ordered and accepted with a reservation from the waiter that it would take 20 min.
After 40 min we learnt that he never placed an order at all but they would now do so.another 10 min later we were advised to find something eals as the kitchen now was out of burgers.
The drinks and the payment was just a mirror of the rest of the visit. With out a hint of cooperation between the waiters and a total lack of supervision, perhaps we were lucky to get anything at all.

If you visit, enjoy the view, do not expect anything exept just that.

Standard tourist trap with expensive overpriced bad food and average service - lake location ok but anywhere around here would be better for food

Bit of a tourist trap. The place really needs some refurbishment. We were taken here by our driver as soon as we arrived in Sri Lanka and were a bit too tired to bother changing location. There was a distinct lack of good vegetarian options and the plates didn't seem especially clean. To be honest we were a bit concerned about falling ill and so ate very little and got out of there. The view over the lake however is very nice.

Not good for family party. Don't go with your children.many people drink alcohol inside restaurant.some people fighting but staff never taken action

If you can arrange room service.it will help you get more customers. Because very poor room service you have. Other all ok.

Used to be better and well maintained the last time i visited back in 2019. Not the best place to dine for a family. Might work for people who want to meet up for a booze

Probably the best location in Kurunegala. Food is good with friendly staff. Ample parking space. Outdated buildings.

If you are looking for a scenic restaurant to dine in, this is probably at the too of the list. It's right by the reservoir in the heart of Kurunagala.

However, I feel that the food is very mediocre and overpriced. I had a fried rice and it was full of MSG which got me drinking a lot of water afterwards.

However, there is plenty of parking and the staff isn't too bad either.

Avoid at all cost this tourist trap. Our driver brought us here. Nothing but Tourist Busses. Food is 2-3 times as expensive and bad at the same time. The only nice thing is the lake. You have been warned.

This restaurant specialises in buffet meals for groups in the tourist trade. It is at a lovely lakeside location with nearby hills. On entry to the restaurant, you will see the hot plates for the buffet with ample seating. We did not fancy the buffet meal so we order a special order – Chicken Biryani. It was not to our understanding of Biryani where the meat is cooked together with the rice. It is probably better to have the buffet. The service was attentive.

Great location and friendly staff. The food is average but they have great fresh juices. I recommend to take the time and do the walk around the lake.

Just infront of the kurunegala lake. Food is good. But things are not very clean. Not seems to be well maintained. Restrooms are not properly maintained. Bit hot inside. Prices are reasonable. Vegi fried rice sufficient for 2 ppl, is 400. Devilled chicken whixh comes with 8 small pieces about 500.

If you love to spend a refreshing evening with your friends with some delightful bites, you may find this place amazing.just sitting on the edge of the lake round with cold breeze you may sip some hard drink talking and become boisterous.

Great location! The food was pretty good. We had the nasi goreng, devilled sausage, veggie fried rice and some mix veggies. We enjoyed every bit of it. With the views of the lake and a beautiful breeze, we had a lovely family lunch.

Near Beautiful and Calm Kurunegala Lake Round. Established and well reputed place for a long time. Restaurant has many customers in the evenings.

A cool place for drinks with friends and the food was good too. Friendly and efficient customer service. The food was affordable and of good quality.
But the place would be much better had it been better maintained and it definitely can take a few renovations.
The view was great though, with the Kurunengala Lake right in front of the hotel.

The place is exquisitely located! Near a lake with direct view of the Buddha statue on the hill. I found it expensive although it was my first day in the country so may be food is expensive here.
