My recent visit to this place was a quite unpleasant experience. Previously they had a separate place for the people who are taking liquor and a separate place for the families. So the families could enjoy their meal peacefully without mingling with the drunkards. But recently they have allowed to take liquor in the same restaurant area, where the families take their meals. As a result of that, bringing a toddler to such a place for a family meal is quite embarrassing. Meals are also not reasonable for their price and overall this place is not recommended, specially for families.

I personally know this place kitchen has really bad habbits, Here are some
1. Raw and Cooked meet are in the same place
2. The Oil is really burned just as like tar, Cooking every time again and again, This is really bad for health.
3. Kitchen is not cleaned at all

These are not visible to outside but inside it has really bad cooking practices,

If you need to look the truth please take a look at the kitchen, This is 2020 December update. Hope this will change soon (But mostly this won't be changed they practiced this from a long time)

For the price.its too way expensive and i have tasted the local dishes in Pollunuruvaa its taste good.this dishes tasteless and not recommended to people looking for good tasty food.

Tour guide brought us here. Not recommended. High price for mediocre sri lankan food. Butter chicken not good, cheese in the kottu was a joke. Water was 280 rp, which its usual price is 100-150. Spaghetti carbonara literally carbonized. Place full of mosquitoes because a creek runs under it. Dirty toilet.

Don’t eat here! Eat at the taco truck out the front, or really anywhere but here. Food was very poor and ridiculously expensive. We didn’t have the Buffett because this wasn’t offered to us, so we had the al a cart menu which did not have any Sri Lankan options.

Have visited this place from about 15 years back when it was catering to local clientèle where the rice & Curry was exceptionally tasty. Later they changed the model to buffet to cater to foreigners and taste suffered. This time I visited though I was warned not to by others and found buffet was dispensed with but set menu of rice & Curry was just bland and tasteless. Chicken curry with 4 more dishes which were simply tasteless. Cost Rs. 1,200 each but not worth Rs. 400. We will not visit saruketha again. Lit of new places abound.

Average restaurant. The only reason we stopped here is because the taxi driver suggested it. It seems like the driver gets free food if he brings customers in.
The lack of customers should have been a warning to go elsewhere!
Food is expensive, not great quality compared to most of the other places we ate at.
We had the pork curry and rice. Pork was hard and mostly bones and fat with very little meat. Poor quality rice with a strange taste. Vegetables served were just about okay.
The napkin came nicely folded but had stains and food particles on it and had not been washed before being reused!
It is a tourist trap and preferably avoided. Will definitely not stop here again!

I found the restaurant far too expensive. It was nice to sit down, but there are better places. Toilet was very run down.

The place was not very clean. The table mats, cutleries and even the plates were scratched and dirty. Toilets were horrible. The were not maintained properly. Food was also not upto the standard. Not worth the money you spend for.
The location is nice and calm. Also the staff is friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for good food and cleanliness.

It seems like a nice place to dine in, with friendly staff. But my very first experience turned out to be a disaster. While passing by, we stopped here for breakfast and the staff admitted us with with warm welcome. They said we can order anything from their Ala carte menu but after a while they informed us that they're unable to provide us breakfast. It was quite disappointing as they didn't inform us when we questioned at the time of entering the place. Hope the management will take this criticism positively and ensure this doesn't happened to anyone else.

Not good for locals.
Tasty of the foods is average. Price is not worth based on the quality (relatively double).

I went this place for lunch Feb 14th 2019.time was around 3.30 pm and still the lunch buffet was open.the food was gross just cause of longer time it was on the table.food taste wired. If they want to serve lunch longer time, they should have change the food without serving older food that was cook around 10 am. My stomach also got upset after eating that food.there should be a standard but they charge a lot.please serve fresh food if you want to open lunch buffet after hours.

Spot is overpriced, food quality is not awesome and ratio quality to price is too low.
Nice place in genera with friendly staff. But max I can give is 3 stars. Sorry.

Setout and ambience is really nice with a village setup. Food was good, but not wow.
Service was average! But rip off in terms of pricing. A plain 2 egg omlette with nothing was charged LKR 650, similary for SL style omlette we were charged LKR 650. Soft drinks a 300ml sprite bottle was charged 150 per bottle. In my view over priced!

Decent food.a bit expensive, mediocre taste! Enjoy the plush nature as you have your food. Food is flavourfull and mild in heat. Fresh fruit juices and Buffet are available.
Well the flies can be annoying AF since its outdoor dining.
Would have been better if the portion sizes were slightly bigger.

No variety of food, no fish, egg or meat items in buffet. If you need such item you have to order separately. Not worthy for the price.

This place is mainly for tourists. The locals don't get that much of an attention here. The food is overpriced, and it takes quite a long time to be prepared. Yet, the food is not upto the standard.
