Group of 11 people, very beautiful hotel, pleasant swimming pool, surrounded by quiet nature and with the singing of birds, very welcoming staff, we recommend this choice.

Place with the vibe. Surounded with pure nature, calm, high quality service, tasty breakfast. It is a pitty that we stayed only one night, would love to stay here a week. Highly reccomended

If you want to experience a 5 star service at 3 star cost this is the place you need to go, from check in to check out we got a good service and staff is very friendly. Environment is facinatinng with natural beauty and birds. Rooms are clean and tidy.you can have a hot water shower bath in the room. Pool is located in the out side to feel the natural beauty. Foods are good when comparing with 5 star menus. Thanks for Mr. Ranjith and Hotel owner Mr. Perera for the great service and everything we experienced. Hotel entrance road is just near the Dambulla CIC farm. Don't wait and hurry up to experience this wonderfull movement.

Our stay at Athena was superb. Entire team was very humble and supportive. Food is delicious and nicely presented. We took utmost effort not to waste food and requested not to serve anymore. All in all it was a great experience worth for money.

Me and my wife had two nights stay in this hotel and our experience was wonderful. The staffs were very friendly, the place was beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfy & the food was great.

As a couple, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Athena in Sri Lanka. It stood out among all our accommodations, with excellent food, rooms, and attentive staff. The experience was peaceful and relaxing, making it highly recommended for both family and friends.

3 nights in this charming hotel, well located in the Cultural Triangle (although a little far from everything).

Beautifully maintained hotel with delicious food.
It is located a short distance from Sigiriya.
The staff is really super friendly, just like the owner.
The WiFi is not very good and unfortunately we had a power failure in the middle of the night, which caused the air conditioning to fail. Of course they can't do anything about this themselves.

We loved our stay at Athena Lake! We had a family room which was huge, especially the bathroom. Everything was spotless clean and the owner and staff were outstanding. We enjoyed the fantastic dinner in the great garden and the pool was very clean, too, so wonderfull for a little swim. My tipp: in the early morning walk through the beautiful garden and just sit on the lake and enjoy nature!

This hotel is referred to as a 3 star hotel, but in my opinion it deserves 5 stars or at least 4 stars. My goodness what a wonderful place to stay for a few nights. You will be overwhelmed by the entrance with a view over the garden with swimming pool.received in Sri Lankan style with a refreshing towel and a fresh juice. We had a room with a view of the pool. There was not much to criticize about the room itself. Four-poster bed, spacious, high, terrace, bathroom could use some renovation but was otherwise wonderfully luxurious with nice towels. The air conditioning had to be repaired because the air flaps did not work. That was repaired immediately. The staff is super nice and service minded.you ask and it will be arranged. The swimming pool is great.not very deep everywhere but fantastic to spend a day in.and then the food.a big 9.pictures of plates and the quality is top notch. The vegetables and herbs come from our own vegetable garden by the lake. We felt like king and queen for two days for a small price.

A wonderful hotel with a swimming pool in a quiet location by the lake. We were only here for one night and next time I would spend more time here. Having dinner in the garden was a wonderful experience.

Excellent service and a great hotel if you want privacy.
One thing is that there are ants in the rooms, but I think in this climate this is acceptable.
There aren't many of them, so don't be afraid.
