This was the best stay of the whole trip. Excellent hotel, so quiet, yet so close to the centre. The owner was super friendly and genuine. Great dinner and breakfast.

The best place in sri lanka so far, the host is a great guy, good man, he is very helpful? He tells about everything important in the city, suggests trips and beautiful places to visit. Great location, great conditions, air conditioning works, clean in room. Beautiful garden. Go and visit! It is worth it!

Clean rooms but it contains a bad smell. Use air freshener before entering. Make sure to ask and clarify about the chargers before booking and closely check the bill before leaving. They tell you room only charge and you have to pay for meals separately. The service charge (10%) will be taken to the total amount (both meal and room).

Its a nice resort. Large and comfortable rooms. Location is close to the main junction in dambulla and walking distance from bus station. The staff are extremely friendly.

What a great resort. No words to describe the hospitality by the owner Mr. Gamage and his family. Best food I have tasted and a great conversation with Gamage. He will go out of his way to satisfy you. Think no more, just stay here and feel the happiness.

Owner is good, but prices are not same as agreed earlier when we booked it. Rooms and facilities are good, but bathrooms are smelly

Really nice place, I planned on staying for one night, but the host was so friendly and helpful so I stayed a couple of more days. Really recommend this place, a good price, nice staff and a good location.

Excellent place to stay - the best part Is that it’s a family run place. They take good care of their guests.

August 2019:
Freundliches und sehr hilfsbereites Familienunternehmen. Das Essen war einfach und lecker. Der Gastgeber lieferte gute Vorschläge zur Tagesplanung. So organisierte er uns eine Safari im Minneriya Nationalpark am Vormittag, hierdurch waren wir fast alleine mit den Elefanten. An einem anderen Tag fuhr er uns persönlich Nachts um vier zum Pidurangala Felsen, sodass wir dort den Sonnenaufgang bestaunen konnten.
Dambula gehörte nicht zu meinen lieblings Orten, doch die Unterkunft war ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge in die umliegenden Nationalparks und Regionen (Pidurangala, Sigiriya, Minneriya Nationalpark uvm.).
Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

Right now it's in the middle of a kind of refurbishment so we can't tell how is it in it's best. What we can tell is that despite the fact that the bed wasn't the most comfy of all and that it wasn't the most clean of the places (it might be due to all the works around, we understand they take advantage of the low season to do that) the guy who runs the place is so helpful and really looks after you. He took us in with no notice at all and the very next day he served our breakfast after our morning trip without any inconvenience for the time. Really a good fella.
