Sigiri Rock Side Home Stay

It's a bit hard to find in the alley, but as soon as I entered, the lady boss greeted me warmly and offered me lemon juice.
I said I wanted to watch the sunrise at Pidurangala Rock. The boss was very kind and drove me to the trailhead before dawn (free of charge).
Rich breakfast and very filling
The room is very big. I have a triple room by myself. There is a refrigerator in the room. You have to pay for the water in it, but it is very convenient for people who want to climb mountains and Lion Rock.
There is also a hot pot for making hot tea

We can confidently recommend this accommodation. The location is great, very close to all the most important points.
The breakfasts they offer are the best in Sri Lanka so far. You can sit on the terrace in front of the room, look at the beautiful nature around and listen to the sounds of the jungle.
The owners are honest and friendly. We really liked that they take care of their animals.

A super quiet place in the middle of nature, the family that runs it is super friendly and helps you with everything you need, the rooms are super clean and the mattress is the best we found in Sri Lanka, very grateful for that, thank you

Incredible hospitality and a breakfast so big it could not fit to the large table.
Everything was just spot on as the place is very traditional and the hosts are very caring.

We stayed in Sigiri Rock Side Home Stay on September for around 3 days and it is by far one of our favorite destinations in Sri Lanka! This home stay stole our hearts- emerged in beautiful natural surroundings, offering cozy, comfortable rooms and numerous extra services (tips for itienerary, affordable driving services, delicious breakfast etc.) One of my trip's highlights was waking up in this home stay- the host is not only super friendly and funny but he also makes the BEST breakfast we had during our whole 1 month trip in Sri Lanka. So much variety and rich traditional flavours!
In the evenings we enjoyed relaxing in the home stay's garden with the host's dog Leo, the cutest and most loving dog ever)
In a nutshell- the energy of this homestay was so special and I will make sure I will revisit it when I go back to Sri Lanka one day

Great stay! The family was super nice and accommodating. We were driven to the starting point for our hike and were able to walk back thanks to the good location. The food was plentiful and tasty, the rooms tidy and clean. All in all very recommendable!

Highly recommended! We arrived and within half an hour the owner had arranged for a man to have our tuktuk repaired. Price quality is great. In the morning he takes you to the mountain for sunrise. You could contact him for any question. Breakfast was tasty, especially the Narankeum (coconut balls). Host is friendly and creates a positive, safe atmosphere.

Wonderfully quiet and relaxing place. Super friendly owner who helps you book all your trips. Breakfast was delicious and super close to Lion Rock! Highly recommended!

Perfect and accommodating owner. He arranges everything and tries to help. He has a Jeep to visit the Safari. He also arranged a great trip with a tuktuk for us. The room was clean, air-conditioned. Shops, restaurants are nearby and Lví skále is a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast is typically Sri Lankan, well prepared and tasty. We recommend!

We stayed two nights at this place and it was more than worth it. Towards our stay, the owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful. They brought us to the Pidurangala rock at 4.45 am to see the impressive view and sunrise. It is also only a 15-20 min walk to the entrance of the Sigirya Lion Rock. Furthermore, the breakfast was delicious and more than enough. In the evening we had a cooking class in which we prepared 10 different currys! We can only recommend this place!

Good value for money:) What's disappointing is.you have to walk quite a bit on the forest path from the main street. Everything else was good!

Without a doubt, the best accommodation we have stayed in in Sri Lanka. The rooms are super clean, with air conditioning, mosquito net and refrigerator to buy drinks. The location is perfect for walking to Sirigiya or Pidurangala and there are several restaurants 5 minutes walk from the accommodation.
The best thing is the kindness of the family and especially the owner, they are very nice and help you with everything.
We cannot miss mentioning the breakfast, which is spectacular! The best we have had on the trip.
If you have the chance to stay here, don't hesitate!

This home stay was our best experience in Sri Lanka. We arrived early and was able to check in as room was available. Welcome drinks were refreshing. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE! Rooms are nice big and comfortable. They own a dog who is super friendly, we love animals so was really nice to see. We booked a safari through them was promised to see lots of elephants and we saw over 150, breathe taking experience! We done a safari in Yala and saw one. Printha the owner couldn’t have done more dropped us to do Pidurangala rock at 5am, recommended best places to eat and helped us with bus times.

I would book it again!
For a really good price you get a clean room with AC, the best breakfast in Sri Lanka and a super friendly, funny host. Thank you for having us.

I can warmly recommend this accommodation to anyone! The owner is really nice, he drove us to Pidurangala in the morning for free and he also has a lot of other usefull tipps about what to do in Sigiriya. His wife is also really nice, we felt more then welcome when we arrived at Sigiri Rock Side Home Stay. The breakfast is really delicious and so much! We are fully satisfied with everything and glad that we stayed there!

Owners were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Right next to the rock and the breakfast there was amazing.

Very clean and spacious rooms in a beautiful location, 5 minutes walk from the restaurants. The owner is always willing to help and even took us to the accommodation with his jeep after coming down from watching the sunset in Pidurangala because it was at night, and at no cost. The breakfast is incredible, the best we have had on the trip.
And it is also very cheap accommodation!

The rooms are very nice, spacious and clean for the price. Breakfast is also delicious. The owner and his wife were very kind and helpful in many ways, making us feel like family. I want to visit again, thank you!
