6 One of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka!
Great clean room with mosquito nets and AC. Nimal and his family were very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we'd have a good time in Dambulla. He drove us with his TukTuk to the lions rock in sigirya at 5am so we could see the sunrise from on top of the rock. He charged us a good price and was very friendly during our stay.
It was a great surprise seeing him a few days later in Pollunaruwa while he was on a trip with new people staying at his place.
I wish you and your family all the best and I hope to see you the next time I'm in Sri Lanka.
Ayubowan Namil!
Very nice place with a friendly host family, who showed us all the good places with his tuktuk. Tasty food and some arrack shots included:)!
Good place to stay, they maintain beautiful small garden, This place has two rooms. One family room (4 guests) and one double room. Every room have attached bathroom, Air condition, Fan and mosque net also. Price is cheaper compare to other places.
Breakfast also delicious.
Mr. Sunil has tuk tuk so he can arrange tours with reasonable price.
Really cosy place. Small but nice arranged garden allows to rest after a busy day. Great host who is very helpful and willing to share nice ideas how to spend time around Dambulla. Thanks to him we decided to take activities that in other case would never come into our minds like village safari (oxcart ride, then taking a boat across a lake and simple but delicious traditional lunch, partially made by ourselves).
A very nice little place with clean rooms, helpful and friendly stuff and a good location
Myself and my friend visited Sri Lanka in September where we spent a great evening with Nimal and his family at their home cooking, eating, drinking and laughing. The only unfortunate part was that we didn't have longer to actually stay and spend a few nights at their home while is located in a very calm and beautiful setting.
We initially met Nimal as soon as we had gotten off our bus as he offered us a tuktuk ride and then we began talking. He was incredibly friendly and helpful and in our short time he helped organise our safari trip for the next day with an excellent guide who had a great eye for more than just elephants.
If (more like, when) we visit Sri Lanka again we would 100% visit nimal and his family and stay at their place! Highly recommended when visiting the area.
