7Nice view. Totally an antique place. Not allowed to stay few more minutes outside to enjoy the view. Might be the reason of limited parking space. But overall the service is good as well as the food
One of my favorite places in Matara. Not only because they have got yummy food and drinks. But also because they have the best view of the ocean and sea breeze
Last time when I was at Matara, I spent an entire day reading a book looking at the ocean.
There is a friendly staff and ample parking.
They have a massive menu (lot of choices)
The prices are little more towards high side.
There is accomodaation also available. Rooms looked a bit old.
Nice place with delicious food, better service and price also good, already recommended
If aomeone ask a meal from heaven.just try from here.
One of my favorite place
Best place for sealine low country cuisine and located at historically attractive place
Nice place, personally my go to place for a buffet while in matara or would recommend the spicy chilled batterd dello dish
Also they have accommodation for a decent price in Matara. Plus you get easy acess to the sea just in front of the place. Plus it is within the Matara fort and in close proximity to the matara paravi dupatha temple
We went there since it's the only restaurant that was actually there in Matara. The cleanliness level wasn't top standard, but a restaurant such us the Rest House it was clean enough. Quite dim within room and waiters were really trying. Fast, efficient service. Buffet options was rather poor but the quality of the food was excellent, and pineapple the best i've tasted. It's at an affordable price with all the comforts of the modern world in the colonnial, not-so-modern building. It's located right behind a beach so view is stunning. It's a loud busy town and not very green, and seems quite polluted. But precise viewpoint is unspeakable. We didnt really mean to come to Matara but we were coming for vacation and were staying in Ahangama and it was the cheapest and nearest train ride so that's where we went. If we come to Matara, we will certainly come here for food since it's the only restaurant in Matara where you can eat a meal, let alone a decent one. Worth trying if coming to Matara.
