10Puspah e Abev are for me like a family. I love this guest house, comfortable and very close to the beach. My favourite place in Mirissa
We had a bad experience because the photos did not correspond to those of the bathroom.
It was true that it was very economical and it must have been a mistake.
They resolved the problem by refunding us the price of one night.
The booking images should improve and be clearer.
I do not recommend at least the standard double room with fan which was the one we booked. The rest seemed ok, in fact it was complete.
Very bad experience. The beginning was okay, even if it was hard to get only a smile from some members of the family. The room is nice. But the very bad part started in the morning, as we were rushed to leave from 8am, being asked all the time "check-out? ". We had agreed before we would leave at 11am, which is kind of a standard check-out time. It was very rainy and we had things to organise, with our 1.5yo baby as well. However, they didn't stop to push us to leave, always asking and overlooking what we were at. The next guests came to drop their bags, which is definitely the best when you travel with a backpack. The people were so stressed they had to prepare the room. Get organised. If you have people the night before, you don't accept check-in before the afternoon so you have to prepare the room in normal conditions. From 8am we were no clients anymore, the night had passed, their job was done. Very bad manners with guests, insistant, greedy (they asked us back the bananas they gave us at breakfast which was included) and aggressive. There are plenty of places to stay in Mirissa, and we don't recommend this one.
Everything was perfect. The place is very nice, the rooms as well. It is truly family-friendly and the staff is heart-warming. It is close to the beach and the Coconut Tree Hill.
The hotel owner wanted us to pay in dollars or rupiahs but +20% because he wants to buy dollars on the black market (what does it have to do with us?). After we refused to pay extra he immediately stopped being friendly and met us with the angry face each time we saw him.
Nice place, super location near the center/beach - 3min walk. Shops, restaurants, bars nearby!
3 beds - we needed only 2.fridge, fan, moskitonet, outside sitting area and big bathroom.
We stayed 2 nights and it was perfect for us.
Hosts were nice to us. Gave us an offer for a whale watching tour by “whale watching with Chaminda” and it was well worth it. Had A/C, hot water, a small fridge, and a comfortable bed. The location is nice since it's within walking distance from the beach.
The bathroom was not clean. We had to clean the toilet seat before using it because there was residue from the last person who used it. We had trouble using the toilet after seeing that scene. There were not any soap in the bathroom and we asked for it and they gave one.even though booking.com said there’s free wifi and breakfast, we were not given any, and we didn't ask about it either. About 30 minutes left to check out, the water supply to the bathroom was out.
Will always stay here when ever I come back. It’s affordable and the hosts are kind and look after you. The rooms are great value for money and the location is perfect.
The rooms are fine not sure why other people are complaining for the price you are paying. The hosts are lovely and you have breakfast on their main dining room in their house. The location is really central close to the beach and restaurants. They do push their whale watching tour which wasn’t great. I do not recommend that. It was a waste of time
The standard room they provide for the money is not worth it. I have stayed at Hotels in unnawatuna with the same price (infact 2$ less) which provides much better room.
The rooms here are small, very hot, not so tidy.
Plus the owner did not even return the change after I paid for the room. He just took it and provided no reason for not returning the extra 40LKR. No water bottles provided, he just said to go and buy it outside. No hot water for bath. From the outside the place looks good but once you are inside its not so good. The deluxe option with A/C should be ok but its costlier.
