Austrian Beach Resort

From the first moment we arrived, we felt like we had been transported to another world. Arrive, be pampered, relax and enjoy.

Our suite, one of two above the small restaurant, has a breathtakingly beautiful view of the ocean, less than 50 meters away, a huge balcony with loungers and chairs and is decorated with beautiful flowers every day after room service. The other rooms are in the beautiful manor house and you basically live in a garden paradise, also beautiful.

The Ayurvedic food with occasional buffets and fish BBQ once a week was super tasty and tasty. Chef Upul and his team were at work in the open kitchen all day long, serving wonderful food for the eyes and the stomach.

The service at the restaurant by Ishan and his team was first class and no different from top restaurants in Europe or anywhere else in the world. They also tried to accommodate our guests' every wish at all times, organizing tuk-tuks or errands or even accompanying us on excursions.

The treatments in the Ayurveda center were exceptionally effective and intensive. Massages, herbal baths and steam baths were carried out in this temple of peace by the six therapists in such a pleasant and benevolent manner that you could just let it pass and enjoy. The yoga classes were offered by Brigitta, the head of the therapist team, every other morning and additionally if desired. Brigitta took each individual participant and their fitness level into consideration.

The two Ayurveda doctors were there for us every day with their great knowledge. The initial consultation took place on the day of arrival and the doctors personally carried out the nose and eye cleanings and acupuncture. On the day of the body cleansing, the doctors were there several times to make sure that you were doing well. On the day of departure there is a final consultation and, if desired, many recommendations for your personal everyday life.

Mister Sanath, the hotel manager, looked after us guests at all times, from the first personal reception to the last day. He speaks excellent German and was also extremely accommodating when we arrived a day later due to the Verdi super strike and were then allowed to stay an extra day without any bureaucracy. He was always trying and interested in how everyone was doing and was present for us and his team.

The hotel and garden with all its residents (iguanas, chipmunks, exotic birds) and visitors (peacocks) is a beautiful, protected little paradise. The location in the small bay enabled us to swim in the waves every day, which unfortunately is not possible everywhere in Sri Lanka.

The beach is kept clean and is often visited by surf schools with their students. The only uninvited guests are beach fleas - be sure to spray your legs. You can walk along the beach to the next fishing village in about 20 minutes.

It was very difficult for us to say goodbye and we can only recommend this resort with the wonderful people there!

A very nice, well-kept hotel complex. Unfortunately we weren't guests, but we were allowed to use the facility as an introduction to surfing. We thought this was extremely nice of him. The beach is particularly suitable for beginner surfers.

Perfect place to learning surfing! Great spot for beginners, good surf school and rental in this hotel. Restaurant on the beach with very good prices. View from the hotel is amazing. Clean pool, nice garden.

I did not stay here but I hurt myself surfing just in front of the hotel and the owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel looks amazing with a nice pool and beautiful decoration, thank you!

If you're a beginner trying to catch waves, Kudawella is the best one in Sri Lanka IMO. No rocks, good foamy waves and an amazing resort to stay in. The staff is friendly and helpful - especially Nila that hooked us up. They have great beginner boards and the best location! Perfect place to learn how to surf!

Welcome to Paradise. Great atmosphere, great rooms, good beds, right on the sea, heavenly garden. The Ayurveda cure was second to none, great treatments, really great therapists. Great food, vegan, suitable for all doschas. You sit on a terrace with a view of the sea. A small minus is the unmanned reception and the rarely encountered manager. Otherwise great recommendation, I'll be back. A visit to Turtle Beach by tuk, tuk is recommended. Bus also goes not far away to Dickwella or Tangalle. The treatments sometimes last up to 4 p.m. And there is not much time for sightseeing anyway. The largest Budda of Sri Lanka is also in Dikwella. Come and see.worth it.

If you are looking for authentic Ayurveda with top-class therapists, appreciate good food in a fantastic atmosphere and like to be on the beach: here is an oasis for it! The service during the day in the garden could have been a bit better (partially dirty loungers/tables and the cushions were only cleaned on request). I would book next time though myself and not through Aytour, the gentleman there was rude, brash, rude and arrogant - the perfect customer defense strategy!

We've spent there 2 weeks on the beginning of January and it was great! All the treatments and food were amazing. All the staff was super friendly, helpful and in the same time very professional. Location of the resort is also very nice -directly by the wide, long, sandy beach. Great quiet place where you can hear only the ocean. Great place to start the new year. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, romantic villa with amazing garden and superb beach. Staff is very respectful and professional. Food is amazing, creative. Masseurs are kind and are helping with every problem. The manager is very helpful, taking care of everything and dealing with everything very well.

Worst experience ever! Dropped by today to have a spa but the first guy told me that no reservation no service, which was fair, and I asked how I could make a reservation, the second guy told me that I needed to book online, which was fine by me. And then I asked for their website info or business card, at last a manager-looking guy showed up and told me that I could not get a service here because it's for Europeans only, and he further explained to me it's a difference concept! What concept? Racism? ! I was shocked there were still racist here in Sri Lanka. By the way, I was told the SPA was owned by an Austrian!
