Chez Podi Surfcamp

One of the nicest home stays I've stayed. The rooms are super clean and comfy. Really worth the price. Even though the room is small, they arrange the stuff really well and include a lot of services in that price range also. The owner of this place is really nice and a friendly one. Really helpful to us. They have a small restaurant area also. I should definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Was going there for surf lessons. The staff didn’t know about my booking. In the end we schedule the lessons, but then they didn’t show up and didn’t give me any explanation.

I spent a week here in November 2019 for the surfcamp and beach in general. I had a great time, the rooms are nice and clean, the bathrooms are great and the large beds in the dorm are amazing!
I also appreciated that the beds are not parallel to each other, so it feels more private than in other dorms. (I spent some nights in the four bed dorm and some in the private room next to it, I'd recommend both)
The breakfast is great as well.
Chez Podi is less than a 10 min walk from Mirissa Beach, you can take some shortcuts but some aren't well lit, so I recommend bringing a small flash light. Or you stick to the larger roads.

The owners, Judith and Podi, are a Sri Lankan/German couple, so you get the local know how and easy communication in English or German.

Nice room with a beautiful open-plan bathroom, cheap and tasty breakfast. Podi is super friendly and a great surf instructor. He knows what he’s doing and will adjust the lesson to your level, which can be hard to find in Sri Lanka.

Great place to stay, comfortable beds, clean and charming room, interesting bathroom. It is good way how to meet new interesting people as you share the room. Judith is very friendly host and she will help you with everything you need. She managed a Safari trip in Udawalawe national park for us that was amazing. Also breakfast was very tasty. We would definitely recommend this place.

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in! Judith and Podi are super welcoming and helpful hosts and the rooms are charming, super clean and cosy with many lovely details. Feels like home away from home!
Every room has a bathroom (which looks like a very cool jungle) and a terrace to chill at night. Don't miss out Judiths awesome breakfast - it's homemade and so delicious. And catch some waves with Podi - he is a very good and skilled instructor and it was a lot of fun! I enjoyed every minute of my stay.

It was an amazing time at chez podi. The hosts Judith and Podi are very friendly and help you with everything you need. I stayed in one of the tow beautiful rooms, that are decorated with a lot of lovely details (especially the bathroom is stunning). I can definitely recommend you to stay at Chez Podi and have a nice time while surfing and relaxing in Mirissa.

We really enjoyed our stay at chez Podi which is a beautiful, new guest house in the heart of Mirissa. You only need two min.to walk to the harbour and some more min.to be at Mirissa beach where you can find a lot of nice bars and restaurants. Our room was super clean and cozy with many lovely details, a comfy bed and a small, own terrace where we relaxed in the evening. Judith and Podi were super nice and welcoming. They organized a whale watching tour for us, reliable tuk tuks drivers, an awesome aryuvedic massage and helped us whenever we had orientation or any other problems. They also gave us valuable tips for good restaurants and nice stores in Mirissa and for our whole trip through Sri Lanka. We had a delicious, homemade Sri Lankan breakfast with fresh fruits, good coffee and most yummy roti. We highly recommend Chez podi. It felt like home and we will definitely come back!

I'm in love with this guesthouse.very nice rooms with comfortable beds.the bunk beds are great! The bathroom is amazing.many little loving details everywhere.podi and Judith are a very sweet couple who are helpful and kind. I felt very comfortable and welcome all the time. The best place to be in Mirissa. The rooms are really beautiful with a good eye for detail. It's a short walk to the beach. They serve excellent breakfast. Most important- the couple, who run this place is incredibly nice and helpful. I also had several surf lessons with the chef of the place which I can really recommend. All in all - just an amazing place

Great fun, great location and great instructors! First we learned about the theory and later they got us up on the boards! The guys are very nice and professional. We would highly recommend this surf school.

This place is awesome! Podi and Judi live directly upstairs (like in a homestay) and let you know everything to get around in mirissa, but also further, with extra tips like where to get fresh fish and so on.the hospitality really made my day there! When you look at the rooms you can see and feel that somebody (well I guess podi and judi:) have put a lot of effort and creativity into it.at night I needed the fan at only the lowest speed, the plants in the bathroom make it so cozy and the beds not only do look good, they are also very comfy. 10/10 would book again!

Absolutely lovely! The Guesthouse is a place where you can feel home from the moment you enter your room. Everything is made with lovely details, its absolutely clean and the big beds are just amazing! Also Judith and Podi are really welcoming and are willing to help you when you need anything! The breakfast was amazing and a perfect start for the day! I would definitely come back and can recommend this familiar and lovely guesthouse!
