Dickwella Resort and Spa

Everything is fine, the place is incredibly beautiful. Of the minuses, this is a meager choice of food and a complete lack of entertainment in the evening.

The hotel is in a very good location. On the left, or jump on the waves (we were in August) or surf, on the right, a calm ocean with turtles. The territory of the hotel is small, not very convenient due to the location on the cape. The territory is constantly cleaned, cleaned - in this respect it is good. What is bad - room service and food. If breakfast is standard, then dinner is very, very poor.

Perfect from the point they answered the call itself. Extremely well organised and handled every detail very professionally. Pool was very clean, they clean the beach regularly, rooms are also very clean. Major plus point was how much attention they paid to safety. There was a lifeguard when we bathed in the sea and a security guard who regularly advised people to stay away from the areas where the sea was too rough. Even the pool which was only 4ft deep had lifeguards all the time. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Lunch was okay but dinner and breakfast were excellent. Extremely satisfied. Will definitely consider visiting again.

We stayed in the resort for 2 days and it was really comfortable. Ocean is surrounded by the hotel from 2 sides and the view is just breathtaking. The beach is clean and uncrowded and it is right in front of us. The staff was very friendly. Its got an amazing pool. The buffet is great with many varieties. The dinning area is placed facing the sea. The rooms are comfy and clean.that is a great vacation spot.

The hospitality, food and the accomodations are superb. Beautiful atmospher with the bay in one side and the ocean is in the otherside. We enjoyed the snokling and can do outdoor games. Great service by the team.

From our 4 day trip this was our first stop and we weren’t disappointed. They matched our expectations. Firstly, the staff was extremely friendly. The views were spectacular. The food was quite good. We were able to spend our first day leisurely and enjoy dinner with an amazing view. I highly recommend this place.

The hotel is covered with the sea from both sides. It has a beautiful atmosphere with Romantic sea breeze. Staff are very friendly and supportive. Buffet is tasty with so many varieties specially had great sea food. Can have food with the sea view in a beautiful surround. Also there were nice cocktails and we enjoyed our stay at hotel with great hospitality. The hotel is excellent for anyone who would like to relax and anyone who love the sea. I would like to visit the hotel again and like to recommend with 5 star rating

I stayed here for two nights. It was a very good experience. Beach is right there as you have options to two beaches that are uncrowded and clean with clear water and good waves but still swimmable. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was very good as I ate too much of it than I should have:) Dickwella is good for getting away from overcrowded places like Unawatuna or Hikkaduwa. I definitely recommend staying here and would come back!

The staffs were friendly and were great at hospitality. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were clean.

Food was catered to both foreigners and Srilankan. Chaminda who works at the front desk was really helpful and looked after us.

The plus side to the hotel is the beach. The waves were calm.

Amazing beach, ️. Pool area was nice.food was also delicious.but I would suggest if there is an separate area for people who smoke in the main dining area.we had to change our table due to that.

The location, sea view and ambient is really awesome. But the services and staff performance is not pleasing. Overall this is a good place to spend couple of days

Beatiful location. Nice beach. Lovely pool. Food was excellent. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. Will visit again. Two and a half hours from Colombo on the expressway.

Superb service. Clean and Beautiful. Perfect place for a day out with affordable prices. Complete buffet menu with starers, main dishes and desserts which is delicious. Highly recommended

Not a 4star level facilities. The property ambiance and spot is amazing but Poor cleanliness and maintenance of rooms are big issue. No power backup, experienced 2hrs of power drop.

Food is okay, staff are customer friendly.

Staff are very supportive the specially cheers for their service in situation of country facing, but we had a bad experience with the security officer who doesn't know how to treat customers

We had booked 3 rooms at the Dickwella Resort and Spa (2 triples and a doible) for the Christmas vacation. We had an awesome time. Unfortunately we missed the 24th night where there had been a gala dinner organized. However we experienced a unique dinner by the pool on the 26th with traditional dancers performing. Everything was perfect; from food to service, comfort to hospitality. Thanks for making our short stay so enjoyable. Everyone was so nice and made us feel welcomed. Thanks to all. Bound to be back

Pros - The stay here was OK, except for the rain which was out of their control. The family room was spacious, with 2 king size beds that fits 4-5 people. The buffet dinner and breakfast were not so impressive, could be because of the off season. Overall service was good. Rooms were clean and with new linen. Bathrooms were clean. There were many outdoor games (beach volleyball, mini-golf etc, which we couldn't do due to the rain. Good thing was, the beach was safe, even during the storm, due to the natural rock barrier, that bars large waves from hitting the beach. The view from the main restaurant, swimming pool area and the rooms were great. Well maintained gardens. Kids loved the 2nd bed which was on a wooden deck / attic.

Cons - Little more attention and maintenance could have made the hotel look much better. Bellboy services were not available nor provided. We had to carry bags in/out of the hotel. The staff at the reception were helpful, but were not so enthusiastic nor proactive. The cocktails were highly overpriced, with a Margarita being served at about 1,700 LKR, 3 times higher than a 5 star in Colombo. Lastly, there was no valet parking, although it was said to be available on booking sites. And the 'park at your own risk' sign in their car park quiet annoyed me, as the main guard room was just next to the car park. We go there for a holiday. Not to be worried about our cars. That's their job!

Overall, I would recommend the hotel, and I would go there again.
