Tasty, inexpensive, chilled. A truly hidden ;-) gem in Mirissa. And maybe the best restaurant we have been to all over Sri Lanka.

We went there twice in only 3 nights as we absolutely loved it. You sit in a calm atmosphere in a beautifully lit garden setting. The local family who runs it are wonderful people and make sure you have a great time.
And, most important: The food is amazing, too. Good portions, cheap and perfectly seasoned, whether grilled fish (recommendation: Barracuda!) or a vegetarian classic like rice and curry. Even the cocktails taste great and are good value.

The food was okay, nothing special, but the service was unbelievably slow - they had quite a few customers but even to get our drinks we waited for 40 minutes, and finally got them after reminding the stuff twice. Then it took another hour to get the main dishes and the salad arrived after we were finishing eating them. It was also hot with no fans, so we will not be back

What a lovely hidden gem. Such a kind family runs this place, lovely atmosphere and two delicious tuna steaks! Nice smoothie too. Very good prices!

Cute location. Worth to leave the beach and main street of Merissa. Very good value and low prices for Merissa.

I was curious to try this place while in Mirissa as it got very high rates and I'm very happy I did.
The food is great, the place is nice and cozy and it's a family-owned reality where you really feel they are all there for you.

It's off the tourist track, therefore it doesn't get the attention it would deserve.
It's a shame to see all those shoddy places by the beach packed with people and this one almost empty.
So if you are around Mirissa, do yourself a favour and come try their food, you won't regret it.
You can walk here from the main road, it is not that much, like 7 minutes or so.
It's also way cheaper than the restaurants by the beach.

I went for dinner, had the grilled tuna and came back the next morning for the exact same thing. It's delicious and well priced. The salad that comes with it is incredible. Friendly staff. Give it a shot!

Very good food and very friendly people. The only idea would be to get more comfortable chairs to let people stay longer:)
