Astonishing Service

This resort really knows the meaning of service. Right from the point that you enter to the complete departure, it was an outstanding and astonishing service.
Rooms are so well maintained and clean with luxurious standards. They truly know it all about clean rooms.
Food was amazing, buffet breakfast had a very wide choice which was well suited for our group of 13 pax, as some were vegetarians.
We had dinner one night here of the 2 nights we stayed. We had the head chef to make a special Indian light meal as explained to him and showed over the internet on phone of Khichdi. Wow, it was too good and all our vegetarians went crazy over it. Hats off to his culinary expertise. The rest of us went in for the buffet, yet again excellent preparation and choices.
We had booked for bed and breakfast, but we had also booked separately for Whale Watching cruise. They were so very kind to pack us breakfast boxes as we checked out after returning from Whale Watching experience. Any other resort would have said that by the time we come back their breakfast times are over. This showed that they cared so much of their guest and their comfort.
Facilities around the resorts like swimming pool, etc were also very good and we did have a good dip in the pool with the group.
They even looked after my mum who is an elder by providing breakfast in the room when we all went for our cruise. Their resident manager Mr. Glen personally looked into every detail. He is a good asset for this resort.
My recommendation to stay here whenever you think of Mirissa or even Sri Lanka.

Didn't mention that the food contains meat and sea animals also not mentioned the vegetarian and non vegetarian on the food board

We were stayed on 28th Oct and 29th Oct with my friends.we went there by bus. But we all had to go to the hotel by walk for nearly 1 km.because buses cannot enter to the hotel. When we entered to the room, no current was there. So we had to wait till fix, after that mini bar and tv were not working. A/C remote was not working. Access card also not working in the 2nd day. Food was little bit ok. But not much varieties to select. Dessert also only few. Pool and beach area was nice. Pool service is excellent. Other than not recommended.

The staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your day comfortable. Super standard service and food is also very good. It was my Dad's birthday and we could get more than we expected from the Management and the staff at Mandara Resort. Would recommend this place for everyone who expects a high quality service and super calm mind relaxing vacation. What a lovely experience. Thank you team!

Good hotel, worth the money. The buffet is small, but there is always something to eat.

You can swim near the hotel, but the ocean is muddy due to the location, we went more to Mirissa.

The hotel has a small area and a comfortable swimming pool.

The room is comfortable, air conditioning, quite clean. Cleaning every day.

As a result, if you sunbathe and don’t chase the blue water in the ocean, that’s it. Quiet, cozy place. There are no clubs or big shops nearby, but you can drive to Mirisa in 5 minutes.

This hotel staff are a group of scammers. Unprofessional staff's.
We have never stayed in a worse hotel than this,

We in a group travelled we checked in this resort it was our 6 th resort of srilanka. All the staff in this resort are trainee mentioned in their badge, you can't even get water from room service, they won't hear you.

We booked triple rooms there is only two 500 ml water bottle in the room supposed to be minimum three which all the other 5 hotels provided.they charged us nearly 350 lkr for each bottle of 500 ml. Which is nearly inr 80 rs for one bottle. We paid almost for 7 bottles. Which is a small scam.

And the biggest is fraud management and their inefficient staffs fighting for towels. We booked three rooms in which one room had 6 towels and the other two rooms had only 4. These scammers asking 15000 lkr for missing towels in the rooms which they placed only 4 as they claim which was not placed in the room.

And hotel manager asking us to check open all lauggage. Which is completely unacceptable.

Who will take that trash towel. We are planned to srilanka for 10 days and spending nearly 10 lakhs INR to take their trash travel?

We had a big mess with them, still they want to check our lauggage.
Atlast we accepted to check with a condition.
To check infornt of police and towel is not there should given a apology letter with 200 dollars compensation and the video will be live recorded and will be posted in social media.

After 1.5 hrs bad conversation they investigated their staff and accepted it may be their mistake.

So please avoid this hotel a complete scammers and unprofessional, unethical staffs.

The complete srilanka gave is pleasant feeling and nice time.

Expect this terrible hotel with unprofessional staff's.

Have been here with my girlfriend for 5 days. The guest is treated like a King at Mandara Resort. Because The coconuts were Not available At The Restaurant At The time we wanted to have a coconut-drink, The hotel Manager arranged some fresh ones from a coconut tree near the hotel. The rooms are clean and the Food is good, so for us - we will Come back! ;-)

Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.room was large with a balcony and excellent bathroom. Nice pool with plenty of sun beds, direct access to the beach that goes on for miles.
Really enjoyed our stay and would go back again

My mother and I had two nights at Mandara Resort during our tour of South Sri Lanka in February. This hotel was a highlight! Beautiful grounds and an amazingly clean, comfortable room. The pool area is beautiful and you can walk right onto the beach, however the high waves are not suitable for swimming, only surfing!
We took an early morning whale-watching boat trip and saw a blue whale! The hotel packed a breakfast for us which was great.
The food was generally very good with lots of choice, and the lovely restaurant manager Fernando became a friend.
All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We wished we had stayed longer! On our last night we were lucky enough to watch a turtle laying her eggs on the beach - an amazing experience. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!

The resort is very good. Very peaceful & quite. The swimming pool is very nice. It is beach facing. The only issue is it is 3-4 kilometres away from the main lively area.

Booked the superior room with plunge pool on full board basis, room was pretty good, clean and spacious. Managers at the hotel provided a good service, however, most staff in the restaurant seemed to be trainees and looked lost. The buffets had a very limited spread and was alright, nothing exceptional in terms of food.

This hotel was great with a few exceptions: - we had booked 7 (seven) rooms, some triples and the rest doubles. I must say the lady Banya was very professional. However the young girl and boy at reception in her absence barely spoke English - well, we had no issues with the communication problem.

The most annoying scenario happened just at check-out time.
The young man started calculating only when we presented ourselves at the reception desk.
Most insulting was to be asked to pay Rupees 2000 for a face towel that was unaccounted for.
Seemed like Mr Shehan, the person in charge wanted to make a quick 1000 Rupees, double charging us for the drivers food,
We found Mr Shehsn to be highly unprofessional and painted a very cheap and low picture of this nice hotel.
Also, there was an extremely loud group of intoxicated men in the pool making it uncomfortable for any other guests to use it.
Today there was another group who played loud music which toned down by the time we checked out
All in all we don’t ever hope to patronize this hotel as it was not a peaceful exit which a group of sixteen people travelling in to Sri Lanka don’t appreciate in the least.

My initial call off Facebook Messenger was very professional and communicated with much ease in there English Language.

We do not recommend, we took a room, just to spend the night. The room cost $ 60, they promised with breakfast, they asked again five times. After breakfast, they tried to hand over an invoice for another $ 20, for breakfast. They ran, argued, said that the manager did not say anything about breakfast. They ended up paying $10. Ruined the mood, we will not go here again.

Great resort in Mirissa with a beautiful stretch of private beach to access. Rooms, food and service is good. Rates of restaurant is very reasonable.

The location is a bit away from mirrisa beach where all the activities are. But the resort does have its own private beach. The property is good and we got ourselves a beach facing room, which was beautiful. Regarding the services. It was sometimes slow and not satisfactory and we faced electricity issues.
The highlight though was the food. The restaurant guys and the chef are amazing! It was a delight to interact with them. Their musroom dish was so good we had it twice
We are vegetarians and could manage to have good food in house along with nice desserts

To start of the price was hiked up for a 4 star hotel. There are 5 stars around the area with the same price plan.

Breakfast and dinner was limited. The selection was less.

The pool was a good size and clean.

The rooms were large size.beds were clean however the bathroom needs attention to cleaning. The toilet seats were old and brown.

Overall stay was nice 4 star resort, calm and away from crowd. There is private beach access. Food is good with range of buffet and desserts. Staff and hospitality is appreciated. Recommend the sea facing rooms, pretty sunset. Only i felt the pool to be more spacious.

Paid £112 for 2 nights for a poolside view. My room was above the bar, so the room would vibrate with the bass, and the loud music meant I couldn't relax in my room 12pm-10pm. Ant in the room, and there was even a gecko. Thankfully room service shooed the gecko out with a broom, but this still should not have been there. The location is also not very good unless you want to surf. Best to pay for a hotel closer to Mirissa beach. The breakfast was the saving grace. Good variety, and the room service food is also good value for a hotel. Rating of 1 out of 5 (driven by the good food). Would not stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel last long weekend 15 and 16th Jan 22. We found difficult to enter hotel as pathway is very narrow for bigger vehicles from Galle Rd. Need to address this issue. Rooms are good but with two levels. We were offered sea view rooms but one room 97 only pool view and partly sea view.
Food variety need more improvement. Kitchen staff need new dress.
Front office staff were very obliging
Room rates are very affordable, overall had good relaxation with family. Thank you
