Meda Gedara Villa

We stayed at the Meda Gedara villa for 4 days and were blown away by the villa, the surroundings and the service we experienced. What a beautiful and peaceful place, the friendly staff and delicious food just added to a perfect stay in Sri Lanka.

Meda Gedara! I cannot recommend enough. What a place The most magical and amazing holiday in paradise! From the moment we booked it was clear this would be something special! I’ve never had the pleasure to have someone be so accommodating and incredible in planning our stay. Our expectations were very high and somehow were surpassed! From planning with Fiona, who’s a star! And the most amazing staff that really went above and beyond. It was a perfect family holiday! The food was out of this world! The setting was unreal with the most beautiful beach and nature all around. The villa is just beautiful, every detail! True luxury! We left the villa once in 6 days! The pool, yoga shall and I can’t but mention the slide that we couldn’t not get enough of, adults and kids alike! We will definitely be back to this special paradise?

If I was more selfish I wouldn't write this review so that it would be easier to return again and again to Meda Gedara, but that just wouldn't be fair on the lovely owners and amazing staff who all want to share their slice of paradise with you. From the moment we booked directly (definitely worth doing!) we could tell that we were going to be looked after to the highest standard. I had looked at every review and image of the villa so many times pre departure but we were all still totally blown away on arrival. We had a group of 19 from aged 10 - 50 and we all agree we had a hugely special holiday. The staff can't do enough for you, they genuinely want you to have an amazing stay, the food is utterly fantastic, the villa, grounds and location are perfect and the fully functioning water slide is the cherry on the top. You very much feel like you have been asked to stay as a guest in someone's luxury home. Thank you Meda Gedara, we will be back!

One of the most amazing holidays ever had here in Sri Lanka. Buckets of fun at this beautiful family beachfront villa in Dikwella. What's not to love; out of this world luxury, wonderful attentive staff, fabulous food, five star everything plus a totally wild, water powered slide which is excellent entertainment for kids and kid/adults, miles of sandy beach, rolling waves, relaxing yoga, trips to the ancient temple, cricket on the beach, tuk tuk to Galle UNESCO site, wildlife safari, nature on your doorstep, surfing on Hirikitya beach, cocktails at Smoke and Bitters. And hanging with besties by the pool, drinking beers, and absorbing rays! Simply best holiday ever. Highly recommend.

Stunning luxury family villa located right next to Hiriketiya located on the most stunning quiet beach. They even have a slide and two swimming pools. The staff are just wonderful and incredibly helpful and friendly. A must visit

Meda Gedara is a gem on the Sri Lankan coastline, a beautiful designed and impeccably finished villa that oozes fun, comfort and encourages relaxation in the natural surroundings.
The facilities are outstanding, the kind and friendly staff, food and drink that tantalises the taste buds. Oh and you can't forgot the totally epic waterside, fun for all! The perfect place to unwind or explore and adventure.
Every time I leave I long to return, Meda Gedara has my heart!

Paradise found… an utterly luxurious family or group villa, embalmed in nature on the most beautiful beach where one looses all sense of time and urgency. Spectacular feasts, a pool to die for with a water slide and staff that are in every way exceptional.

It's just beautiful. Lovely property. Words don't do justice. If you're a large extended family or a large group of friends, visit here. I mean the rooms are spacious and beautiful. They have a lovely yoga pavilion as well. Just visit and feel the difference.

My family and I recently stayed here; the staff were outstanding and made our stay the highlight of our trip. The house itself is beautiful, and extremely child friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely be coming back.

Outstanding 7 bedroom villa by the sea in South Sri Lanka. Ideal for upto 5 families. Tastefully done up interiors, large veranda, nice pool with a slide, a small open patch where you can play cricket. The staff are super friendly and the food is really good.
