Beatiful villa, which is almost an art gallery with great service and a kid friendly dog. Always relaxing to visit Mirissa Hills. Great service from Thilak, Aruna and team.

Impeccable service. Lovely location. Quiet, beautiful, nature, stunning, impeccably maintained, gorgeous nature and no traffic or noises from outside. Just a short bike, bicycle or car ride to the beaches, or if you are athletic can enjoy walking on small roads through rice paddies to get to main Mirissa or Weligama.
You can also come and do a lovely cinnamon plantation tour here, and learn all about the production and history of the wonderful hand-harvested Ceylon cinnamon — no booking required! Just arrive between 9am-3pm and they will take care of you

Note: the hotel is stunning, and located 800m up the road from where the initial guard house is. If you arrive at night, just know that the three-wheeler, bike etc will have to go up this road. The staff is AMAZING, and will help you take care of every need.
Also — the upper hotel rooms are separate from the lower rooms (different category). Best to book DIRECTLY with the property, and make sure they have your phone number and you have theirs in case any concerns about arrival/location.

Enjoy your stay here — the property appreciates your patronage!

A gem of a villa tucked away on top of a cinnamon estate. Lush green surroundings, overlooking the bay of Mirissa afar. Food, atmosphere, service and comfort at its best.

Absolutely fantastic villa, atmosphere is amazing. The views are breath taking and the food is comparable to a 5 star restaurant. The staff are very helpful as well, highly recommend staying here

If you're in the area I highly recommend visiting here for an epic sunset.

The property is an active cinnamon plantation with 3 villas. One at the base, one in the centre and the premium at the top.

While it can be booked as a whole they do rent rooms individually as well.

There's a pool in the central courtyard on the top level villa and a flat hill top gazebo overlooking the bay.

Perfect for a sunset tea and cheese toast!

Very natural and multiple vantage points to choose from to enjoy different views.
Service is friendly and accommodating.

We were just visiting for the sunset, so we called ahead for a table to be reserved on the veranda.

Great spot for functions or just a holiday spot. Literally across the road from the beach, by car from the top of the hill about 15 mins drive (it's a fair climb up).

The Gazebo is a great photo op.for your albums!

Such a beautiful place. A hidden gem. If you want a calm and serene place to stay in mirissa, away from the hustle and bustle this is the place. Few minutes drive to the beach and the amazing restaurants. Staff is so friendly and accommodative. The sunset is a must watch. Love it.

We have spent 3 weeks traveling Sri Lanka and this place was by far the coolest accommodation we had. It was also above our average budget, but really worth it. If you are considering giving yourself a small pleasure I could only recommend you to go there.
Amazing spot, amazing service and amazing nature around.

Booked it as a pit stop from the south coast to the national park. Stayed at the Cinnamon Museum and dine at Cinnamon Mount. Had a lovely time. The accommodation although basic (bear in mind this is a 3 star hotel) has all you need. Enjoyed the pool. The staff are great and service was spot on. The surrounding is beautiful, the main house tastefully done and the quiet tranquility is a nice change from Mirissa beach. The meal was very good too. Might be on the steep side of the budget compared to what is in the area but for us it's worth paying as did enjoyed our stay. If you value exclusivity, good food and a quiet retreat yet 10mins ride from the beach, this is the place to go. Will come back.

We had an awesome time —one of the best stays. With calm cinnamon forest surroundings, the distance sound of the Buddhist temple, it can truly take you to the natural feeling of a back in the days Sri Lankan village, oh and the rustic furniture supports the claim. The architecture of this premise is a masterpiece. I loved every bit of it, my favourite was the veranda facing the ocean side. Not to forget the staff, they are really helpful and the food was awesome as well. Thank you for an exceptional time.

Beautiful designed villa set on the summit of Cinnamon Hill, with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Charming look out points, and open spaces allow a hint of Cinnamon to infuse the air, while admiring the owner fine collection of contemporary Sri Lankan artist. The lower part of the house is open ti the public and has a cinnamon museum of sorts and a tour of the grounds and Cinnamon peeling. You can enjoy a cinnamon infused lunch if you book ahead.

(Review for Mount Cinnamon, not Cinnamon House)

This is probably the nicest hotel that I have ever stayed in (100x more so when you consider the price). Stunningly designed home (by one of Sri Lanka's most famous architects), only 4 rooms, exquisite antique furniture, provoking art, views for days, beautiful pool (the pool at Cinnamon house is nicer though, only a 4 minute walk away), and excellent service from the staff. Very friendly dog too.

Breakfast's were good, we did have dinner once, which was very good collection of Sri Lankan dishes (6000 rupees for 4 people). Contrary to other reviews, they do have beer at the house, but they let us bring our own wine for dinner. The cutlery was so beautiful we asked where they bought it (Paradise Road, Colombo), and bought it ourselves for a hefty price.

Its a bit out of the way, up a bumpy driveway, but its so nice to get away from the highway. They will phone a tuk tuk to come up as well, should be around 400 to get into Mirissa, but a bit harder to get that rate going back (once you experience the hill you will know why).

If this place is remotely in your budget, stay here, especially for more than 1 night. It is extremely relaxing.

If it matters as well, LGBTQ friendly for sure (possibly LGBTQ owned based on some of the art work).

This place is designed with a touch of antiques. It’s a bit away from the city limits. Very quiet and calm place to enjoy the nature. The potato curry that was offered for the breakfast was mind blowing. It has that village taste with all the spices in it. And the staff is very friendly, humble and welcoming.

This is just gorgeous hotel. Actually it might be one of the best one on the south coast of Sri-Lanka.
Incredible attention to details in interiors, different pieces of art everywhere and most of them are really good. Personal is kind and really want to make your staying there as comfortable as it can be.
The only drawback is that this place is located a little bit too far from centers of activity, but at the same time it could be a benefit since it is quiet here.
So I can really recommend this place.
