Moonlit bay weligama

We can highly recommend this beautiful guest house to anyone staying in Weligama. The rooms have an en suite bathroom and a balcony. The entire property and rooms are very clean and well maintained. It‘s like a home away from home. The owners Shanika and Nilanthe are wonderful hosts, providing the best service one could ask for. They are so dedicated in all that they do. So friendly and helpful at all times. We really liked the Sri Lankan breakfast. Within few minutes you can get to Weligama town by Tuk Tuk, which the hosts can also arrange for you. There‘s a lovely beach and surf point nearby.
We will always come again, when in Weligama.

The host and family are incredibly kind and delightful. We spent a week diving in Weligama and this was the perfect place to call home for the time.
Highly recommend this family home for anyone in the area and if you want a quiet spot away from the crowds in the city.

Beautiful hotel, I liked it, everything you need to feel great, excellent breakfasts, different every day, close to Jungle beach without strong waves, very beautiful road to the beach. Thank you very much Shanika for the hospitality, I was 5 days, but this is the best place where I was in 1 month in Sri Lanka ️

I staied at Shanika's guesthouse for 10 days and loved it! It's the best place I staied in Sri Lanka, close to the main road from Midigama to Weligama, but super quiet, in an authentic area with direct access to Fishermen's surfing spot. Shanika and her family are the nicest, always here to help, they recommend great places (such as a little secret shop to get good quality spices!) and have been very helpful with so much, even helping me to fix my scooter and pack my board when leaving! The room is absolutely spotless, the cleanest I have ever had, very comfortable and spacious. I highly recomend and I would definitely come back. Thank you Shanika and all the family.

Shanika is simply the best host you can think of. Her breakfast is always something special, she easily adapted to vegan diet, she and her husband were there for us, whatever was going on, we've had amazing and deep talks and the stay was simply magical. After three months, this was the first time in Sri Lanka were we felt like friends and really connecting with the hosts. We left with tears in our eyes, after hugging good bye these wonderful people ️ the internet in the common area is exceptionally good, super comfortable to work from there. The secret Surfspot Fisherman's Reef is 2 minutes away by feet. The perfect spot for workation and surf:) this was the golden finale of a 3 months trip, never could have imagined it better!

Great hospitality, nicest and most smiling (small) hotel owners you will meet. Service and their customers well-being is a very high priority at Moonlit. Good, simple and cheap breakfest, and they offer laundry service as wll. Perfect if you're considering taking the dive course at Weligama Bay Dive Center. Can either way highly recommend!

The owners are the nicest you could find and we felt very welcomed! The place is super clean. Breakfast lovely and generous! Loved the curry breakfast! Continental breakfast was also really nice, as we had the pleaserleasure to enjoy both! Very good value for money! Quiet, cozy, friendly in a good location for exploring the south! Highly recommend this place!

Good value for money. Location is perfect if you are diving. It's also close to the beach and a few restaurants. Hosts are very friendly. I really enjoyed myself there.

Proportion of price-value is perfect. But I'd like to have in the room more places for arrangement my belongings (table, bedside table). Owners are very pleasant, smiling and helpful.

A perfect place to stay. For a swim in the sea, for boat tours, you can quickly approach. The night is a tremendous view of the sea. Understand the difference. Call to friends.
