Ocean Breeze Villa

We just stayed for one night but would highly recommend this hotel. The hosts are really friendly, welcoming and they were also supporting us with a problem. They cheered up our day with a little temple tour. Thanks a lot!

Great place to stay directly at the beach.

Staff is very friendly, the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You can see the ocean directly from the room, around you a friendly locals (e.g. Restaurant or surf school), all in all this makes for a convenient, quiet and relaxing stay.

Had an amazing stay! Very tasty and big breakfast, only missing some real bean coffee instead of instant one. The manager was absolutely awesome, a sunshine of the day, polite, super helpful with anything you need. Rooms where clean and comfortable, loved the local and friendly family living next doors as well. 100% recommend!

The rooms all have a beautiful ocean view and are right on the beach. Janaka, the manager, is quite honestly one of the nicest humans I have ever met - he was like a beam of sunshine everyday and was a real highlight of the stay. On top of that, the rooms were beautifully clean, with excellent breakfasts (fresh fruit, smoothies, tea, delicious omelette, toast and jam) - I would absolutely go back! Staying there was a real joy!

Nice and clean room. Incredible good breakfast and dinner! And very friendly and helpful staff. I forgot my Apple pencil. But the Janaka, the manager, find a way to let it bring me to hotel in Colombo. So nice! If I ever would be in Matara, I'll come back to Ocean Breeze Villa. Thank you!

I had a lovely experience at Ocean Breeze Villa. Namely, I would like to mention the amazing Janaka that was extremely helpful and accommodating, a real professional. The location of the villa is lovely, though the beach is public, so often times the fishermen get together (daytime but also nightime) and play loud Sri Lankan music, which can get very annoying if you are trying to relax or work from your room. Another issue with the location is that there are often many stray dogs running around, and they also like to bark and have fights in the middle of the night. I would also suggest to clean the rooms and change the sheets maybe every three days as it gets quite sandy. And maybe make them more cozy by adding some artwork, posters, nightstands and bed lamps, or plants. My friend did not even have a closet in his room which gets annoying when spending four nights. Breakfasts were amazing, though I would suggest getting a coffee machine in the future instead of using instant coffee. Overall it was a great stay though. Thanks Janaka for making it so great!

Did feel like at home. Very lovely, caring people around the house. Best spot for surfers. Breakfast was perfect. Will go back there soon.

What a great place to stay! Lovely seaview, 20mtrs to walk with your surfboard for the prefect waves for beginners and intermediates. Thanks for your hospitality, we hope to return. I recommend this place.

Beautiful family villa right on the beach with amazing ocean view. Room and bathroom were clean. Big delicious breakfast and manager and stuff really takes care. One of the nicest beach we visited during our travels in Sri Lanka. Is without people with good conditions for surfing. You can rent surfboard on the beach. There is great small family restaurant with really delicious rice and Curry and cold king coconuts. If you are looking for peace and quietness, with good food, good waves. I really recommend Ocean Breeze Villa. I am sure I will come back again

Amazing new comfy rooms with sea views, Air con, hot water and very friendly staff.what more could you want! I definitely recommend this hotel and I will definitely be back:)
